HIGHLANDER/HILLER

7 ON 7 PASSING TOURNAMENT / LINEMAN CHALLENGE

Saturday, June 12th

McGuffey & Trinity High School

COST $100 PER 7 ON 7 TEAM CHECK WRITTEN TO MCGUFFEY FOOTBALL BOOSTERS

Dear Coaches,

This is an exciting opportunity for all of us we hope to run a first rate 7 on 7 and line challenge and build the event each year. This season we have combined with Trinity to run hopefully an even better event in less time using their stadium and new turf softball complex for the 7 on 7, as well as our NEW McGuffey Grey Turf Installation.  Our stadium will also host the line challenge at the same time!

This is however a non contact event and we are wearing helmets and mouth pieces for safety, instruction, and technique work. This year we are looking for a maximum of eight different schools to compete in the tournament and the lineman challenge. We will give a rotating trophy to the team that wins the 7on 7

and also a trophy to the  team that wins the Lineman Challenge. We also have free drinks and food available to the players throughout the events.

We are hosting this event on Saturday June 12th from 9am to 12 noon at Highlander Stadium and Hiller Stadium. We will utilize PIAA Officials for the 7 on 7 and judges from our community for the line challenge who understand the event. Start time is 9am (please arrive by 8am for coaches meeting and for proper warm-up time).

Best wishes for a great off-season!

Yours in coaching,

Ed Dalton McGuffey Head Football Coach
