On Saturday afternoon, in blustery New Rockford, North Dakota, one half of the 9-man semifinals took place at New Rockford Athletic Field. After considerable back-and-forth for much of the early game, the New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock Rockets found themselves up 4 scores late in the game and held off a fevered Hankinson Pirates attempt to draw even. NRS goes on to win it, and a berth in the state championship, 72-50. They face LaMoure/Litchville-Marion next Friday at the Fargodome for the Class 9-Man State Championship.
