The Marion Local Flyers put on an absolute clinic Friday morning, decimating the Hillsdale Falcons with a resounding 74-0 victory. The Flyers’ offense was unstoppable, racking up yardage and touchdowns at will, while the defense suffocated Hillsdale’s every attempt to gain ground. The first half was a showcase of the Flyers’ multifaceted attack. Parker Hess led the charge on the ground, finding the endzone twice with short touchdown runs of 4 and 3 yards, culminating drives of 69 and 25 yards respectively. Justin Knouff added a highlight-reel moment, connecting with Victor Hoelscher on a 37-yard touchdown pass. Ethan Heitkamp contributed a 1-yard touchdown plunge, and Hoelscher showcased his electrifying speed and instincts, returning a punt 66 yards for a score. Hess capped off the half with his third touchdown of the day, a 1-yard run that finished a 66-yard drive. Griffin Bruns led the receivers with 41 yards on two catches, and Victor Hoelscher had a 37-yard touchdown reception. For Hillsdale, Jake Haven led the team with 18 rushing yards on 17 carries. Kael Lewis passed for 72 yards on 5-of-12 attempts.
