The owner of PAFootballnews.com, Billy Splain, and the owner of the television station CWTAP Alex Fydryszewski, have joined into a partnership. PFN will be the official football content provider for CWTAP.
Plans are already in place for programming covering high school and college football to be produced and provided to CWTAP by the staff at PFN. Several shows, including PFN’s popular weekly in-season show “The STATE of PA Football” (which will be aired live on CWTAP), will help the channel to highlight teams, games, players, coaches and football communities throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
Billy Splain shared “As the owner of PFN, I’m very excited to make this announcement with Alex. We’ve been friends for many years now, we worked together when he was in Pittsburgh and I look forward to continuing that relationship. PFN is heading exactly where I envisioned when I took over the site in 2018. With coverage waning at the local levels due to cutbacks and media companies folding, PFN gives those areas a chance for their teams/players to continue to be recognized on a national level“.
Alex Fydryszewski says “This is an exciting time for myself, the CWTAP family and our viewers and communities. We realize that football, especially high school football, brings in viewers due to the loyalty and enthusiasm fans have for their teams. PFN is the absolute Gold Standard when it comes to providing coverage of high school football. This partnership will be a great addition to our sports coverage. CWTAP plans to carry a live game each week in the Allentown area so having a site like PFN promote those games is awesome. We look forward to promoting PFN as well as having them promote our station”!
What is CWTAP?
CWTAP is a locally owned and operated cable television station with a nearly four decade lineage of success. The station was founded by the late Jeff Tapler, who was known across the region as “Uncle Jeffrey”.
