
PIAA says fall sports will start Monday, August 24

In a highly anticipated meeting of the PIAA Board meeting, the PIAA made it short and sweet: Motion to continue with fall sports and motion was seconded and the vote went 25-5 with two board members missing from today’s meeting. Those who voted no: LeeAnn Wentzel – School Administrator rep, Jon Bauer – Pennsylvania Principals rep; Michael Allison -District 7 treasurer, Nathan Mains – School Board CEO, Karen Arnold – District 8 chairman.
For football, heat acclimatization can begin on Aug 24, and if they complete the minimum requirement they can go full pads on Saturday, August 28.
