
Pulaski County wins Rebel Bowl opener over Bryan Station (PHOTO GALLERY)

On Saturday afternoon, Boyle County High School hosted two games as part of the Community Trust Rebel Bowl. The opener pitted the Pulaski County Maroons from Somerset against the Bryan Station Defenders from Lexington.
In Kentucky, many schools open the season in Week 0 or Week 1 with “Bowl Games”. Usually doubleheaders where one team hosts the games annually and make an event of it. For the Rebel Bowl at Rebel Stadium in Danville, the Boyle County Rebels have hosted this bowl games for years.
The game started fairly close, going 21-19 at the half in favor of the Pulaski County Maroons. The second half was all Maroons, as they take the game with a comfortable 49-27 victory.
