There’s a definite surprise near the top of the scoring sheet in PA. I mean come on, Aliquippa? That “pound and ground, hold them under 14 points and score just enough to win” team from district 7 second in the state in scoring? Simple answer, yep! New Head Coach Mike Warfield has this team scoring in a hurry and a flurry. This sleek new offensive juggernaut has put up 224 points in four games to date averaging a comfy 56 points per contest. Coming in first are the Bearcats of William Penn with 231 points with a 57.75 per game average. Third is Delone Catholic with 218 points.
Statewide, 4 teams have yet to give up a point. Boys Latin in D12, Clairton , Jim Thorpe and Tamaqua lead the way there. They are followed by Thomas Edison in D12 with 2 points allowed and the Quips, Burgettstown and Jules E Mastbaum all with 6 points allowed.
