Washington & Jefferson College wins big @ St Vincent College

Latrobe, Pa. (Sept 10 2022 ) St. Vincent goes 0-2 after losing their second home game. W&J defeated the Bearcats in a non conference game 52-21 at Chuck Noll Field making the Presidents 2-0.

Former Gateway QB Brady Walker was under pressure all day by a relentless W&J defense. Sophomore and former Hampton HS lineman #58 Dawson Dietz from Allison Park and #20 Justin Huss a Jr from Derry Pa. helped keep Brady scrambling and propel the Presidents to victory. Brady however did complete 10 passes for 206 yards connecting twice to #10 sophomore Matthew Esdelle from Clarksburg Pa for 1 of the Bearcats touchdowns. Esdelle would get his second reception for a touchdown from Austin Slye who replaced Brady late in the game.

W&J Sophomore AAron Carothers #6 a defensive back from Altoona Pa and SVU sophomore #24 Brandon Nolder from McKeesport Pa each recorded an interception. Both turnovers resulted in touchdowns.

The Presidents will head to Ohio to Play Case Western Reserve and the Bearcats will remain Home to host Theil for their Homecoming game and hopes of their first victory of the season.
