On a cool Thursday evening, the Waterloo Vikings secured their first victory of 2020 in dominating fashion. Waterloo opened the scoring with a short 1 yard TD run in the first quarter, and a 2 yard TD run in the second quarter.  After regaining possession late before halftime, the Vikings drove the field and scored on an 8-yard TD run with just two seconds left. After a failed kick on the first touchdown, Waterloo made up for it with a spectacular one handed reception after the second touchdown for two. With a three touchdown lead, Waterloo was slowly grinding away the game.

Waterloo One-Handed Catch

After a series of unfortunate events, Windham saw an injury followed by a fourth down stop that had them facing an uphill battle. The two teams then agreed to switch to a running clock. Waterloo kept it on the ground, and quickly saw a 63-yard touchdown run to the left side extend their lead. With the clock still running, the Windham Bombers put things together in the fourth, moving the ball to the endzone. Including a fumbled rushing attempt from the ten yard line was recovered and falling into the endzone to break the goose egg. The PAT attempt was stopped. With the quickly moving clock only stopping for an injury and a timeout.

Waterloo players and staff would be victorious, running to their victory bell in the northwest corner of stadium grounds.
