UPDATES:
Gov. Tom Wolf told reporters Thursday morning he recommended against conducting any high school sports until after Jan. 1 to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.
The questions about guidance about parents in the stands led to the following from Wolf:
“The guidance is we ought to avoid an congregate settings. And that means anything that brings people together. Anything that brings people together is going to help that virus get us,” Wolf said. “And we ought to do everything we can to defeat that virus. The recommendation from us is that we don’t do any sports until January 1″. Wolf then walked off the podium and ended the press conference.
We will bring the PIAA response, which at this point was one word, “amazing”, as soon as they have one.
