On Saturday night in Midwest, Wyoming, was one of the craziest games you’ll witness. What took place over the course of the evening was the highest scoring game in Wyoming high school football history.

Midwest, trailing 19-0 early, struggled through a 76 point second quarter to trail 59-44. But with a strong resolve, the Oilers kept pace with the Hulett Red Devils, and trailing 80-72 after three quarters.

Hulett’s statistical leader, Hudson Reilly, added to the lead, thanks to a 13-yard touchdown catch. Quincy Paris for Midwest answered with a 40-yard touchdown run. However, the two-point kick was blocked. With 6:46 left in the game, Midwest still trailed by two scores.

As the game’s pace slowed, Quincy Paris closed the deficit to 87-86 on a 4 yard run. Making the ensuing two-point kick. With the onside kick recovery, Paris again found the endzone, on the first play of the drive, to give Midwest their second lead of the game, 94-87.

Reilly answered 99 seconds later, on a 23 yard catch and run for six. With just 1:41 left the visiting Red Devils trailed by one. Unable to attempt the kick, they went for the tie. A pass to Reilly went off his fingers, giving Midwest a tenuous 94-93 lead.

Midwest recovered the onside kick. Posting a first down. And getting to kneel out the clock on history. Winning over Hulett on homecoming night, 94-93.
