2024 District Nine Media Day Huge Success

The 2024 District Nine football media day was largely successful due to all teams playing in the league participated and 14 media outlets were represented.  There were approximately 150 players, coaches, media personnel, and organizers present at the St. Marys Middle School.  The event began at 9:00 A.M. with some introductory remarks, followed by a large buffet breakfast thanks to the St. Marys School District cafeteria staff.  The activities and interviews did not break up until 1:00 P.M. or so.

The coach’s poll for the upcoming season had Central Clarion and Punxsutawney as the top two teams respectively in Region One.  Redbank Valley and Port Allegany were one and two respectively in Region Two, while Cameron County and Otto-Eldred garnered the top two spots in Region Three.

The Otto-Eldred Terrors are left to right: Shane Magee, David Schenfield, Hunter App, Manning Splain, and head coach Troy Cook.

The Sheffield Wolverines are from left to right: Braylon Winslow, Andrew Kyler, Colby Barr, and head coach Mike Barr.

Bucktail Bucks from left to right are: Evan Ransom, Colton Fleisher, Talan Ditty, Brody Pentz, Jayden Barnes. Standing are coaches Kevin Ransom – head coach (left) and assistant Dave Pentz (right).

The Smethport Hubbers are left to right: Alex Yeager, Zach Hunginville, head coach Eric Rees, Jonah Ganoe, and Boe Kirkman.
