LET’S GET TO KNOW DYLAN!
What made you decide to play football?
Really, it was my dad. He played in high school and ever since I was 5 he was throwing the ball to me.
Do you have a favorite pre-game meal?
It depends. If it is a home game, it is 2 pieces of Sicilian pizza from Tomasino’s. If it’s an away game it’s gotta be an Italian sandwich.
Who has been the most influential person in your athletic career?
Both of my parents. They have always pushed me to be the best I can be. And also Coach Mannello.
What are your personal and team goals for this upcoming season?
Personally, I want to get faster and stronger, and also to be more patient waiting for the gap. As for the team, our goal is always a district championship and then we go from there.
What are your future plans?
I definitely want to play football in college, but I haven’t decided where I am going yet. Right now, I am considering going into physical therapy.
When you graduate, what is one lasting memory you will have about your coach?
My freshman year, for giving me my first opportunity on kickoffs. After my first game on kickoffs, coach came to me and told me that he was going to start me at fullback the next week. I appreciated the opportunity he gave me that early in my career.
