Head Coach Bill Musser said, “Sam has been a man stay on the offensive and defensive lines since 10th grade. He has really embraced the leadership role and is looking to develop his skill set to play at the next level.”


Let’s Get To Know Sam

Why do you play football?

I play football so better myself as an athlete overall and to be a better man. It’s also pretty fun.

What is your favorite part about football?

Having fun with teammates and friday night lights.

What is your favorite play to run?

Either buck or belly which are our two most inside runs.

What is your favorite football memory?

Probably our D6 championship game. We lost but it was such a good ride that year.

What was last year’s season like for you?

It was a big season for me because I started to get noticed as more of a team captain.

Who is the best player you have ever competed against?

John Shuster from Windber.

What are your goals for this upcoming season?

1st team Altoona Mirror.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal?

Pb&j’s or turkey subs from martins.

Is there a professional player you model your game after? If yes, who?

I would like to say Jason Kelce.

What is your favorite professional sports team?

Steelers and Penn State.

What is your favorite field to play at?

Claysburg.

What is your favorite all-time game you’ve played in?

Claysburg this past year.

Who has been the most influential person on your athletic career?

My dad and Jonathan Bouch.

What is another sport you wish you could play, but can’t?

I wish we had a golf team.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Snapping the ball over the QB’s head.

What would you like to do after high school?

Hopefully go to college somehow and major in either ag education or ag mechanics.
