Kar’Zell was selected all conference this past season. Kar’Zell was one of the top line performers at Pitt’s June 1st Prospect Camp. Kar’Zell is receiving D1 interest at the center position and defensive tackle.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Washington High School ?
The best part is learning how to balance school and sports.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I have been playing football since the 1st grade, then took a break for my 7th and 8th grade years because of COVID, returned in my 9th grade year and have been playing since.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
The best road game atmosphere was playing against McGuffey the last game of the season. It was a playoff atmosphere and playing our rivals on the road is always a crazy experience. The fans were screaming and yelling and their student section was going nuts.

What was it like having a brother playing on the same team ?
De’ondre is my older brother, for the 3 years we played together, it was awesome and exciting.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I would go with defense because I feel the defensive line will be able to stop whatever is coming to us.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Blocking for our QB who threw for over 1,000 yards and blocking for our running back that ran for over 1,000 yards was a major accomplishment. Having the stingiest defense was something that I was really proud of.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
Beating our rivals in the playoffs for the 2nd time within 3 weeks.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
Playing beside my brother. It was something that I will never forget.

What are your goals for the 2024 season?
To win the WPIAL 2A Championship.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
TJ Watt is the most dominating defensive player in the NFL. He proves that hard work and determination pays off. To recover from the injuries that he had in college and contemplating quitting football to be who he is today.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
The playoff game against Ellwood City when I shed 2 blocks at once and made the tackle in the backfield.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
Number 5 from Keystone Oaks.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I would like to visit Penn State for a white-out game.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
The Pittsburgh Steelers, because they embody the hard working people of the Steel City. They have the most loyal fanbase in the world.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Every time the Steelers beat the Ravens because the Ravens are the Steelers rivals.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Longest Yard because it’s hilarious.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Line up as a WR and catch a touchdown pass.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Basketball because Rifle, Wrestling and Basketball are all at the same time.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Slipping and falling when I threw the Javelin at track practice.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Swimming, going to the shooting range with my dad and playing Pokemon GO.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz is the best no matter what, but I haven’t been to Wawa or Rutters.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation was when my family and I went to Wilmington, North Carolina.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I have a fear of getting into a really bad car accident.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Burger King because the Bacon King burger is delicious.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I have been to 2 Pittsburgh Steelers games, the season opener last year against the 49ers and the Steelers vs the Lions preseason game in 2022.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NFL is the best league because it’s the most entertaining.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
God Of War Ragnarök

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Cheese and Pepperoni

Favorite School Subject ?
My favorite class is Environmental Science.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
Rod Wave

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
Airplane, I would like to go to Japan to study their culture.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to save someone’s life as a Fire Fighter or First Responder.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I would like to live in Buffalo because of all the snow storms. Snow storms are really calm.
