Conneaut 23, Iroquois 13

Chance Meader and Aidan Ford combined to rush for 207 yards as Conneaut downed Iroquois.

Mentor (OH) 42, McDowell 12

Jackson Farley scored three touchdowns to lift Mentor over McDowell. Farley ran nine times for 244 yards and three scores for the Cardinals. Brogan James completed 11 of 16 passes for 202 yards and touchdown passes to Justen Hodge and Logan Berwald.

Corry 47, Warren 0

Lucas Baker accounted for four total touchdowns as Corry beat Warren 47-0. Bake completed 8-0f-16 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns, while adding a rushing touchdown. Deion Candy led the Beavers with 78 yards and a touchdown on three carries, while Connor Sterling added 43 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Keaton Frisina caught a pair of touchdowns on four receptions for 58 yards. Tucker Jackson added a 62-yard receiving score.

Oil City 36, Mercyhurst Prep 14

Cole Findlay accounted for three touchdowns, and Steve Hesie ran two touchdowns as Oil City topped Mercyhurst Prep 36-14. Vinnie Feliciano scored on a 52-yard run, giving the Lakers a 7-0 lead, but it was the Oilers that scored the next four touchdowns. Hesie scored his first two rushing touchdowns, giving the Oilers a 16-7 lead in the second quarter. Findlay then scored on a 1-yard run and added a 27-yard touchdown pass to Logan Heath. Feliciano ran another touchdown for Mercyhurst Prep, but Findlay’s 9-yard touchdown to Landon Baker closed the scoring for the first half and the game. Heise rushed for 124 yards, while Findlay completed 8-of-18 passes for 118 yards.

General McLane 28, Harbor Creek 0

After surrendering 56 points during a Week 1 loss to Dubois, the General McLane defense pitched a shutout of Harbor Creek Friday night. Matt Caro completed 17 of 25 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Lancers. Jared Corwin caught six passes for 82 yards and both touchdowns. P.J. Mitchell added a rushing touchdown, and Charlie Bennett returned an interception for a score. Gavin Zillman ran for 101 yards to lead the Huskies.

North East 41, Seneca 0

Bryson Galloway continued his strong start to the season as he accounted for four touchdowns, and the Grape Pickers blew out Seneca Friday night. Galloway completed 13 of 15 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing six times for 67 yards and a pair of scores. Ethen Ringer ran 13 times for 82 yards and a touchdown, while John McGuigan returned a fumble for a score.

Eisenhower 34, Saegertown 28

Caleb Jakubczak rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns to lead Eisenhower over Saegertown. Logan Penley chipped in with 85 yards rushing and a score. William Shaffer and Blake Burchill each went over the century mark for the Panthers with 108 and 115 yards, respectively, on the ground. It was Burchill’s 20-yard touchdown run and Shaffer’s 2-point rush that tied the game at 28, but it was Jakubczak’s 13-yard touchdown run with 31 seconds left that proved the difference.

Girard 56, Titusville 55

The Yellowjackets stopped a Titusville 2-point conversion in overtime to secure a wild 56-55 victory over the Rockets. Aidan Arnold’s 10-yard touchdown run in the extra session gave Girard just enough to edge Titusville. The Rockets had scored on a 1-yard run by Jaydin O’Neill to pull within a point before Girard snuffed out the conversion for the win. Arnold had a monster game for Girard as he scored three rushing touchdowns of 44, 14, and 43 yards, while also running a kickoff back 82 yards. Likewise, Michael Culpepper returned the opening kickoff 85 yards, giving Titusville a 7-0 lead. Alex Hartshorn also ran a kickoff back for the Rockets, the third in the game. Jaydin O’Neill ran for 204 yards for Titusville, scoring three rushing touchdowns. Brody Sellen threw three touchdowns for the Rockets and completed 12 of 21 passes for 129 yards. His touchdowns went to Jimmy Becker, Blake Ross, and Dalton Knapp. Ryan St. Julien threw two touchdowns to Mason Kalicky for Girard.

Mercer 14, Lakeview 6

The Mustangs got 96 rushing yards from Alex Leftheris and held off rival Lakeview for a 14-6 victory. Preston Michael scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter, followed by Parker Puskar’s 8-yard run in the opening minute of the second quarter, which was enough for Mercer. The Sailors scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Owen Reynolds to Julian Zacherl. Lakeview was limited to 89 yards of offense.

Cochranton 55, Union City 13

The brothers of Noah and Walker Carroll again had huge games as Cochranton pounded Union City 55-13 Friday night. Noah completed nine passes for 235 yards and six touchdowns. All four of Walker’s receptions went for touchdowns and covered 154 yards. C.J. Shorts added two receptions for 55 yards, while Garrett Irwin hauled in two balls for 10 yards and a touchdown. Union City’s stats are unknown for this game.

Grove City 43, Fairview 7

Gavin Purdy rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns to lead Grove City past Fairview. Purdy scored on runs of 5,9, and 58 yards. Zach Mathieson added 42 yards on the ground and scored on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter. The Eagles also scored on a 31-yard pass from Heath Hohman to Charlie Miller, and tacked on a safety. Fairview scored on a 4-yard run by Joey O’Reilley in the second quarter. Carlo Cimino passed for 114 yards to lead the Tigers.

Cathedral Prep 43, Sharon 41

Davin Friedman’s 7-yard walk-off touchdown pass to Matthew Oblich gave Cathedral Prep a thrilling 43-41 victory over Sharon. The Ramblers, which went to four overtimes to beat Erie in the opening week, may have surpassed that in a game that saw 11 lead changes. Terrian White scored on a 10-yard run with 1:14 to play, before the Ramblers capped a 5-play 60-yard drive with the Friedman to Oblich touchdown. Davin Friedman completed 11 of 24 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Matthew Oblich caught eight passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. His first gave the Ramblers a 16-13 second-quarter lead before Bishop Root caught a 9-yard pass from Gha’fir Lampkins, giving the Tigers a 20-16 halftime lead. Jason Harris caught a 49-yard touchdown from Friedman that put Prep ahead 29-27 after three quarters. DaZarie Carson also rushed for 293 yards on 44 carries with a pair of touchdowns. Friedman also ran a score for the Ramblers. Gha’fir Lampkins and Ethan Engelmore combined to pass for 240 yards and five touchdowns for Sharon. Bishop Root caught nine passes for 70 yards and four touchdowns, while Kare’mez Norris added four receptions for 113 yards, including a 68-yard reception from Englemore to open the scoring. Terrian White added 137 yards on the ground for the Tigers.

Reynolds 38, Maplewood 6

Parker Nay set a school record with nine receptions for 263 yards and four touchdowns as Reynolds rolled past Maplewood, 38-6. Nay caught touchdown passes of 38, 73, and 79 from Xavier Zachrich, while adding a 28-yard reception from Connor Belback. Chase MacQuarrie, who ran for 106 yards, scored on an 8-yard run for Maplewood in the third quarter. Gabe Minjarez added a 38-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter for Reynolds and finished the night with a game-high 116 rushing yards.

Farrell 45, Fort LeBoeuf 3

The Steelers avenged a heartbreaking loss to Bison last season by routing Fort LeBoeuf 45-3. Aaron Pegues had a field day against the Bison secondary as he completed 17 of 23 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns. Nemo Jones and Dorean Cain each went over the century mark receiving, with Jones catching nine passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while Cain added four receptions for 110 yards and a score. Juelz Johnson added a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns with an 82-yard punt return and a 36-yard run. He rushed for 140 yards on 16 carries. Farrell also got a 49-yard touchdown run from Gavin Petiford and a pair of field goals from Nick Ellsworth. Fort LeBoeuf scored on a 40-yard field goal from Lucas Kantz. Skyler Sadowski led the Bison with 82 yards rushing.

Cambridge Springs 43, Northwestern 18

The Blue Devils built a 29-6 halftime lead and never looked back. Brett Kania rushed for 212 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns. Brandon Hoover added 106 yards on 17 carries. Hoover also completed 3-of-9 passes for 108 yards, with all three going for touchdowns. Jordan Washington caught 51 and 32-yard touchdowns, while Kania added a 26-yard scoring reception. Braden Swift completed 8-of-19 passes for the Wildcats for 138 yards and a touchdown to Brody Bickenheuser. Swift and Bickenheuser each added rushing touchdowns for Northwestern’s other scores.

Hubbard 28, Wilmington 21

Mike Hazimihalis scored three touchdowns, including the game-winner early in the fourth quarter, as Hubbard nipped Wilmington.

Meadville 35, Connellsville 14

The Bulldogs pulled away from Connellsville 35-14 on Friday. Linkon Keller scored on a 51-yard run for the Falcons, pulling them to within 15-14 in the third quarter, but Meadville scored three consecutive touchdowns to seal the victory. Jordan Lawrence scored on a 28-yard run, Jacoby Thompson on a 3-yard run, and Tymir Phillips added a 1-yard run. Phillips had opened the scoring with a 37-yard run. The Bulldogs’ other touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Thompson. Jordan Lawrence led Meadville with 161 yards on 25 carries. Phillips added 75 yards on nine rushes. Caden Matthews also ran a touchdown for Connellsville.

Hickory 41, University Prep 24

Jadon Phillips returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns as Hickory pulled away from University Prep Friday night in Pittsburgh. Phillips’ 35-yard interception return gave the Hornets a 14-6 lead in the second quarter, while his 100-yard return came with a buzzer on the game’s final play. Christian Dungee added a pair of touchdown runs of 16 and 3 yards, while tossing a 25-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Borowicz. He completed 7-of-9 passes for 118 yards while adding 23 yards on the ground. Bryson Applegarth added a 3-yard run for Hickory. Kelvin Morrison rushed for a game-high 135 yards. USO got a big game from Dai’Mere Adair, who completed 17 of 24 passes for 298 yards and three touchdowns, but also three interceptions.

August 30, 2025

Garfield Heights 14, Erie 12

The Bulldogs blocked both of Erie’s extra points en route to a 14-12 victory Saturday afternoon. King Young added a 68-yard run for Garfield Heights in the first half. Nothing else is known about this game. Erie falls to 0-2 on the season.

Slippery Rock 26, Franklin 7

Doug Popovec scored on a 1-yard run to open the scoring in the first quarter, then returned an interception 56 yards in the fourth quarter to seal the victory for Slippery Rock. Kole Scott, who rushed for a game-high 126 yards on 15 carries, broke a 7-7 stalemate with a 22-yard run late in the quarter, before putting the game away with a 5-yard run with two minutes to play, 30 seconds before Popovec’s interception return. Caden Mincer scored on a 3-yard run for the Knights to pull even in the second quarter.

Greenville 46, Sharpsville 13

The Trojans jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back en route to victory.
