Cathedral Prep 58, Warren 7

DaZarie Carson rushed for 68 yards and three touchdowns, while Davin Friedman completed 9-of-11 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Ramblers past Warren. Cathedral Prep led 38-0 at halftime. Friedman threw both touchdowns to Matthew Oblich, who had three receptions for 147 yards. Friedman also ran a 26-yard touchdown. Haleem Leggett ran a 59-yard touchdown, while Alex Kamholz tossed a 26-yard touchdown to Jacob Abott. Tucker Sanford scored on an 8-yard run for the Dragons.

McDowell 37, Erie 7

Brody Bonsell scored four touchdowns to lead McDowell to their first victory of the season over Erie High. Bonsell had three rushing touchdowns in the first half, along with Deonte Flemings. The Trojans led 28-7 at intermission. Paul Johnson scored a rushing touchdown for the Royals’ lone score. McDowell added a safety in the third quarter, before Bonsell closed the scoring with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Corry 40, Girard 7

Lucas Baker completed 13 of 20 passes for 228 yards and four touchdowns as Corry ended Girard’s unbeaten season. Keaton Frisina caught four passes for 89 yards and three touchdowns, while Jack Vanchieri added three receptions for 25 yards and a score. Lamech Albers added 47 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Beavers. Ryan St. Julien for 110 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to Nick Zona for the Yellowjackets’ lone score.

Oil City 17, Meadville 14

Cole Findlay scored on a 1-yard run with 5:17 to play, lifting Oil City over Meadville. Findlay rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries, while completing 6-of-13 passes for 46 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown to Landon Baker, giving the Oilers a 9-0 lead following a safety. Steven Heise ran for 144 yards for Oil City. Tymir Phillips and Jacob Thompson had rushing touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Jordan Lawrence led Meadville with 107 yards on 20 carries.

Harbor Creek 48, Fairview 7

The Huskies earned their first victory of the season thanks to a 27-point second quarter. Gavin Zillman had a monster game for Harbor Creek, rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Herman added 31 yards and two scores, Eion Eighmy chipped in with a 16-yard touchdown run. Brady Powers also returned an interception for a touchdown for the Huskies. Joey O’Reilly scored Fairview’s lone touchdown in the second quarter.

Mercyhurst Prep 16, Seneca 7

Tyler Quinn and J.T. Jones each scored rushing touchdowns for the Lakers, who were playing without leading rusher Vinny Feliciano, who was serving a 1-game suspension. Dalton Boyd rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown for the Bobcats.

Eisenhower 14, Northwestern 13

Caleb Jakubczak rushed for 131 yards, while completing 4-of-10 passes for 40 yards and two total touchdowns as Eisenhower sneaked past Northwestern Friday night. The Knights had tied the game at 13 on Jakubczak’s 28-yard touchdown run, but a celebration penalty made the extra point 35 yards, which Bryceton Wilkins drilled. Braden Swift connected on two touchdown passes to Reese Gonzales, and Swift passed for 89 yards.

General McLane 70, Franklin 8

Matt Caro completed 12 of 16 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns for General McLane. Caro added a rushing touchdown. PJ Mitchell, Jackson Kiser, Caiden Holler, and Kyle McConnell had touchdown receptions for the Lancers. Jared Corwin led McLane with four catches for 72 yards. Josh Caro, Seth Mulligan, and Cohen Beachly added rushing touchdowns. Franklin scored on a 13-yard run by Josiah Rodriguez in the fourth quarter. Caden Mincer led the Knights with 37 yards rushing.

Conneaut 20, Titusville 14

Aidan Ford rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in double overtime, as Conneaut improved to 3-1 on the season. Ford, along with Chance Meader, each went over the century mark, with Meader rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Wells scored on a 2-yard touchdown run for the Rockets, while Blake Ross returned a fumble for a touchdown. Jaydin O’Neil ran for 76 yards to lead Titusville.

Maplewood 40, Lakeview 24

The Tigers scored 22 first-quarter points to earn first-year head coach Robert Finkbeiner his first career win. Kyle Jordan and Mason Potosky scored on runs of 15 and 21 yards, while Dakotah Crum had a fumble return for a touchdown in the opening quarter for Maplewood. Kyle Jordan would later add touchdown runs of 6, 3, and 1 yards as he ran for a game-high 178 yards. Julian Zacherl caught touchdowns of 45 and 33 yards from Owen Reynolds, while Gavin Schell ran an 11-yard touchdown for the Sailors.

Reynolds 50, Sharpsville 0

Gabe Minjarez rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns as Reynolds improved to 4-0, and dropped Sharpsville to 0-4. Xavier Zachrich added a 30-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Blackburn. Blackburn also added a touchdown reception from Connor Belback. Parker Nay rushed for 98 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown run.

Hickory 21, Sharon 19

Hickory stopped a 2-point conversion in the closing minutes to hang on for a dramatic 21-19 victory over Sharon.

Grove City 33, Slippery Rock 20

Grove City outscored Slippery Rock 26-0 in the second half en route to a 33-20 victory over the Rockets. Gavin Purdy ran for 163 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles. Purdy scored on runs of 8, 5, and 3 yards in the second half, but it was Jaxyn Wilson’s 83-yard run on the second play of the third quarter that got the ball rolling for Grove City. Wilson ran for 96 yards. Slippery Rock had grabbed a 14-0 lead after a quarter on touchdown runs of 4 yards from Owen Long and 5 yards from Doug Popovec. Austin Gothe caught a 6-yard touchdown for the Eagles, countered by a 5-yard run by Long late in the first half. Both Long and Popovec went over the century mark for the Rockets, with Long rushing for 120 yards and Popovec 103.

Farrell 66, Mercer 0

Farrell scored an incredible 10 touchdowns in a little over a quarter before the game was called due to a power outage. Juelz Johnson had 85 yards on four carries, with three of them going for touchdowns. Jason Marshall added a 50-yard touchdown run. Jadon King-Vincent returned a kickoff and punt for touchdowns, and also caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Pegues. Jimmy Gadson and Gavin Petitford also had receiving touchdowns for the Steelers. Johnson also brought a punt back for a touchdown.

Iroquois 41, Union City 19

The Braves won their first game of the season as they rallied from a 7-0 first-quarter deficit, outscoring the Bears 41-6 over the next two quarters. Cole Bennett completed 10 of 19 passes for 281 yards and four touchdowns to lead Iroquois. Ethan Alderson added six receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns, while Treyvon Scott, Noah Olowinski, and Mohanmed Al-Hchaimi also added receiving touchdowns. Chase Cocolin added a rushing and passing touchdown for the Braves.

Wilmington 35, Berlin-Brothersvalley 0

Chase Mitcheltree rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns as Wilmington cruised past Berlin-Brothersvalley 35-0 Friday night. Mitcheltree, along with Cam, Cael Kettering, and Rowan Miller, combined to rush for 328 yards. Cam had 59 yards, while Cael added 82, and Miller chipped in with 71. Cam Kettering and Rowan Miller had the other Wilmington rushing scores. Mitcheltree scored on runs of 15, 3, and 4 yards, while Cam Kettering and Rowan Miller scored on runs of 5 and 22 yards.

Cambridge Springs 30, Saegertown 14

The Blue Devils rushed for 345 yards and downed Saegertown Saturday night. Brett Kania and Brandon Hoover rushed for 190 and 151 yards, respectively. Kania scored twice on the ground while Hoover also found the end zone, adding one reception for 10 yards. Jon Daley added a safety for Cambridge Springs.

Greenville 41, Cochranton 6

Justin Schell and Cael Thurber connected on three first-half touchdown passes to lead Greenville to their third straight win over Cochranton.

Fort LeBoeuf 32, North East 3

The Bison scored 32 unanswered points in the second half to end North East’s unbeaten season. Josh Banning’s 32-yard field goal gave the Grape Pickers a 3-0 lead at intermission, but it was all Fort LeBoeuf after that. Syler Sadowski, who ran for 230 yards and three touchdowns, led the Bison’s second-half resurgence. Sadowski’s 3-yard run late in the third quarter was shortly followed by Dominic Walters’ 44-yard touchdown pass to Michael Vomarro, giving the Bison a 14-3 lead after three quarters. Sadowski added scoring runs of 55 and 33 yards in the final stanza, while Lucas Lantz booted a 47-yard field goal.
