McDowell 65, Meadville 47

Brody Bosell rushed for a school-record 381 yards and seven touchdowns, as McDowell won its second consecutive game in a contest that featured 112 points. Bonsell set the school record that pushes him past several Division 1 players, including current Arizona Cardinals tailback James Conner. One of the highlights of the evening was his 93-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The Trojans’ other scores came on an 88-yard kickoff return, along with a 53-yard touchdown pass from Deonte Flemings to Kameron Barstow. Jacoby Thompson threw for 246 yards and ran for 91 to lead Meadville. Thompson threw touchdowns of 55 and 66 yards to Tymir Phillips and 80 and 6 yards to Keithen Arnold, while adding a 53-yard touchdown run. Jordan Lawrence rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs, while Phillips also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

Titusville 26, Warren 7

Jaydjn O’Neill rushed for 227 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown, helping Titusville to its first win of the season. Alex Hartshorn, who rushed for 91 yards, opened the scoring with a 22-yard run before later adding a 10-yard touchdown run. Dalton Knapp added an 11-yard run for the Rockets, along with O’Neill’s 33-yard scamper. Warren scored on a 4-yard run from Parker Kiser. Aiden Eger led the Dragons with 116 yards on 16 carries.

General McLane 49, Corry 18

Matt Caro completed 22 of 27 passes for 346 yards and four touchdowns as General McLane won their fourth straight game. P.J. Mitchell, Caiden Holler, Jackson Kiser, and Kyle McConnell had receiving touchdowns for the Lancers. Kiser and Holler each caught five balls for 83 and 80 yards, respectively. While McConnell caught three passes for 80 yards. Mitchell also added 32 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Nick Swenson and Cohen Beachly had rushing touchdowns for the Lancers. Jack Vanchieri led the Beavers as he completed 9-of-14 passes for 67 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown to Blake Cook. Vanchieri also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, while Keaton Frisina returned a fumble for a score.

Oil City 56, Fairview 0

Seven different Oilers found the end zone as Oil City blew past Fairview Friday night, 56-0. Steven Heise and Cole Findlay rushed for 129 and 128 yards, respectively, to lead Oil City. Findlay’s 13-yard run and Heise’s 37-yard interception return put the Oilers ahead 14-0 after a quarter. Findlay then threw touchdowns of 29 yards to Spence Singleton and 24 yards to Landon Baker, along with Heise’s 11-yard run, which invoked the mercy clock by halftime. Brady Buzard added a 2-yard run in the third quarter, before Clark Findlay scored from five yards out, and Carter Thompson scored on a 57-yard run in the fourth quarter. Fairview, which was limited to 19 yards of offense, got 32 yards rushing from Caden Oldach.

Harbor Creek 21, Mercyhurst Prep 19

The Huskies rallied from a 19-7 third-quarter deficit to knock off the Lakers. Gavin Zillman rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown while completing 4-0f-8 passes for 55 yards with touchdown passes to Cameron Herman and Brady Powers. Herman caught three passes for 39 yards.

Girard 28, Seneca 27

The Yellowjackets bounced back after their first setback of the season with a dramatic victory over Seneca. Aidan Arnold rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns to pace Girard. Ryan St. Julien completed 13 of 18 passes for 156 yards, while adding a rushing touchdown for the Yellowjackets. Rylan Harwood rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bobcats, while Zach Moats added 78 yards on the ground.

Eisenhower 33, Cochranton 8

The Knights won their fourth consecutive game thanks to a pair of 100-yard rushers in quarterback Caleb Jakubczak and tailback Logan Penley. Jakubczak ran for a game-high 162 yards and a touchdown, while Penley rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown. Jakubczak also threw a 42-yard touchdown to Ollie Boozer. Penley’s 5-yard and 11-yard touchdown runs bookended Boozer’s receiving touchdown, giving Eisenhower a 20-0 lead. Calbe Jakubczak then ran a 75-yard touchdown, before Cochranton got on the board with a J.J. Walker’s 5-yard reception from Noah Carroll. Carroll completed 15 of 32 passes for 211 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Noah Gesing closed the scoring with a 21-yard touchdown run for the Knights.

North East 68, Franklin 0

North East scored 55 points in the first half en route to a 68-0 shutout of Franklin Friday night. Bryson Galloway threw for seven touchdowns, and Carter Crozier had five receiving touchdowns to lead the Grape Pickers. Galloway completed 12 of 17 passes for 135 yards, while Crozier had seven receptions for 57 yards. Ethem Ringer rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

Conneaut 28, Northwestern 14

The Eagles built a 21-0 halftime lead and held off Northwestern Friday night to improve to 4-1 on the season. Chance Meader and Aidan Ford ran for 148 and 111 yards, respectively, for Conneaut, with each scoring rushing touchdowns. Mason Stone completed 8-of-10 passes for 67 yards and added a 2-yard touchdown run. Wyatt Luke also ran a touchdown for the Eagles. Brody Bickenheuser ran for 93 yards and a touchdown to lead Northwestern. Keegan Miller also ran a touchdown for the Wildcats and chipped in with 29 yards rushing.

Reynolds 59 Lakeview 12

Reynolds continues to roll in the young season as the Raiders efficiently improved to 5-0 on the season with a 47-point thrashing of winless Lakeview. Gabe Minjarez rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Raiders. Minjarez scored on runs of 1, 18, 47, and 17 yards. Maddox Snyder returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown, while Xavier Zachrich had the hat trick as he tossed a 6-yard touchdown to Minjarez, caught a 10-yard touchdown from Connor Belback, and added scoring on a 1-yard run in the third quarter. Ethan Johnson scored on a 30-yard run for Lakeview, and Owen Reynolds threw a 3-yard touchdown to Karson Mathison. Reynolds accounted for 87 yards of total offense to lead the Sailors.

Saegertown 48, Union City 10

William Shaffer accounted for 217 yards of total offense and four touchdowns for Saegertown as the Panthers rolled past Union City. Shaffer threw a 39-yard touchdown to Westin Baker to open the scoring, before his 42-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Huya, and his 43-yard run, coupled with Huya’s 4-yard run in the second quarter, gave the Panthers a 27-3 halftime lead. Matthew Shartle scored on a 1-yard run, and Shaffer tossed his second touchdown to Huya of 44 yards as Saegertown put the mercy clock into effect, as they lead 41-3 after three quarters. Union City scored on a 5-yard pass from Matt Eliason to Jayden Betcher and a 27-yard field goal from Chase Whitmeyer. Riley Wilkinson added a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Panthers.

Greenville 49, Mercer 7

Greeville scored 36 points in the first quarter, as the Trojans rolled past Mercer Friday night. Cael Thurber completed 9-of-14 passes for 161 yards and threw first-quarter touchdowns of 73 yards to Justin Schell and 29 yards to Keith Covert. Schell caught three balls for 81 yards, while Covert had three receptions for 55 yards. Thurber added a 13-yard touchdown run, Kaysom Materia added scoring runs for 60 and 19 yards, finishing the night with 87 yards on the ground. Rudy Gentile added a 1-yard run, and Landon Baker a 57-yard scamper for the Trojans. Mercer got 40 yards rushing from Kyle Suhrie, who scored on a 5-yard run for the Mustangs in the third quarter.

Slippery Rock 42, Sharpsville 13

Slippery Rock did all its damage in the first half as the Rockets rolled past Sharpsville, 42-13. Doug Popovec scored on runs of 10 and 45 yards, while tossing a 14-yard touchdown to Kole Scott, who also scored on a 1-yard run. Logan Schlobohm added a 16-yard run for the Rockets. Popovec led the way offensively, rushing for 67 yards on four carries, while completing 5-of-7 passes for 74 yards. Tre Ham-McCullough scored on a 46-yard run, and Michael McCearn scored on a 1-yard run for Sharpsville. Ham-McCullough had 90 yards rushing.

Hickory 26, Erie 23

Bryson Applegarth scored on a 9-yard run with 7:55 to play that gave Hickory a 26-23 victory over winless Erie. The Hornets were playing without Kelvin Morrison. Applegarth also added a 1-yard run. Hickory also scored on a 24-yard field goal by Callum Darraugh and a 32-yard pass from Trevor Borowicz. Natavion Tenon scored on a 3-yard run that gave the Royals a 6-0 lead. Paul Johnson added a 37-yard touchdown pass to Michael Henry, while Nijon Young returned a fumble for a touchdown.

Grove City 14, Fort LeBoeuf 6

The Eagles scored a pair of second-quarter touchdowns and held on to down Fort LeBoeuf Friday night.

Cambridge Springs 42, Iroquois 0

Brett Kania rushed for 315 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries as Cambridge Springs pitched a 42-0 shutout of Iroquois Friday night. Jon Perry also added a rushing touchdown for the Blue Devils, who now sport a 3-2 record on the season. Brandon Hoover added 40 yards rushing and completed 1-of-2 passes for 28 yards.

Wilmington 49, Grand Valley 13

The Greyhounds cruised to an easy 49-13 victory over the homestanding Grand Valley (OH) Friday night. Wilmington had the mercy rule in by halftime. Cam Kettering rushed for a team-high 142 yards and two touchdowns, while Chase Mitcheltree added 76 yards on seven carries. Freddie Zehetner caught a 34-yard touchdown from Rowan Miller. Miller opened the scoring with a 2-yard run in the first quarter. Mitcheltree added a 4-yard run, while Cam Kettering scored on a 38-yard run, making it 21-0 ‘Hounds after a quarter. Zehetner scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter, while Kettering’s 8-yard run made it 35-0 at the half. Following the Miller to Zehetner touchdown, Mitcheltree scored on a 57-yard run, putting Wilmington ahead 49-0 with seven minutes to play in the third quarter.
