Getting to Know Tyrese:

What Coach says” Returning 1st team All Public senior LB/RB. I expect Tyrese to build on his junior year, 2nd on the team in tackles. Tyrese is a monster in the weight room and if he can stay healthy, I believe he has the potential to become a top running back in the city. Tyrese has a family support system that believes in him and wants the best for him always. With Tyrese playing both sides of the ball he’s up to the challenge and ready to contend for championship and has high hopes being named All State. We will see!!

What positions do you play?

HB/LB

What is your favorite HS football moment thus far?

When I make a mistake and then learn from it because it shows that I actually want this & can learn from my mistakes.

2025 season goals individually & team wise? 

My individual goal for this season is to best my yardage on offense from last year & get more tackles on defense. Team goals I want s to win the 4A title and put Benjamin Franklin up there my senior season.

What part of the city do you reside? 

North Philly

If you could vacation anywhere all expenses paid, where would it be and why?

The Bahamas because I love places like that with a good breeze, sunny all around & places like that I’ve never been before.

Who is the most influential person(s) in your life & why?

My grandmother is my most influential person in my life just simply because of how much she’s laid on me good and bad. She taught me so much at a young age that I’m glad to have learned.

What hobbies do you have outside of football?

aming, sleeping, & cooking. I love to cook and learn new skills with nature. I also like to do brain teasers & stuff that makes me think like rubik cubes & playing chess.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why? 

 It would definitely be teleporting; I hate waiting for things from people to buses and even car rides. I just want to get where I’m going within a snap of my fingers so for that I choose teleporting.

Favorite meal?

Cheesesteaks or chicken alfredo.

Favorite TV show?

Honestly, I don’t have a favorite I love a lot of tv shows.

Favorite play to run & why?

My favorite play defensively is anything blitz plays. On offense I love running plays as a running back.’

Plans after HS? 

I would like to go to college. Currently my plan is to JUCO, trade school, job core or enlist in the military.

Pregame music? 

Just some calm music, I don’t like to get in my emotions before the game starts, getting mad as that’s not me. I play football because I love it.
