Interview with first year Head Coach Ky Seesholtz:
What are your expectations for the team this season?
Our goal is to dominate our opponent on every snap. We don’t want outcomes to become distractions. Whether it’s a good or bad outcome we have short memory and we are onto the next play or game! It is all about stacking good days which we have since January 27th!
What do you think are the biggest question marks for the team this year?
I wouldn’t say we have any questions marks, they are looked at more as opportunities to learn from your mistakes and grow both a player, person and a team.
What will the keys to success be when your team is on offense?
First we want to win the line of scrimmage and dominate the run game. Setting the tone of the game. Another key component is getting our skill players the ball as often as possible.
What about on defense?
Defense you have to stop the run and make teams one dimensional. Turnovers, TFL’s and sacks are huge momentum shifts for any team. Our motto on defense is, Win the Next Rep.
What are some players we should keep an eye on this year?
Josiah Hosler, Elijah Geedy, Gavin Larsen, Gannon Carpenter, Dominic Keller, Demir Wood, Noah Musselman, Christian Nowak, and Mateo Jimenez.
Any other thoughts about this season’s outlook?
Our goal is to focus on each week, there is no set goal. Our goal each week is to dominate our opponent and play with effort that is never questioned along with physicality. Our team and staff is very excited for the upcoming season, displaying a new era of Central Columbia Football.
