2025 Schedule
Season Outlook |
“Offensively, the 2025 season will feature many fresh faces on offense, with only five starters returning. The offensive line brings back just one starter, senior captain Van Erickson. Van is an outstanding leader and will serve as a strong voice for his new linemates. Our success begins up front, and Van is the ideal leader to anchor that group. The running back unit, led by senior captains Jose Sabastro and Zander Binstead, along with senior standout Evan Olander, will play a crucial role in driving the offense. With the departure of Sebastian Binstead, senior Dylan Lopapa will look to build on his top-five county finish at wide receiver last season. Senior Nate Hofmeister will contribute to multiple roles and will be an essential part of the offensive game plan. At tight end, senior captain Dylan Laganelli will be a major contributor—both as a key blocker in the run game and as a reliable, big-bodied target in the passing attack. Junior quarterbacks Nate Moerder and Nick Walraven will step into the starting role this season, and their development will be supported by the experience and leadership around them.
Defensively, this season we will have nine seniors starting, with seven being starters in 2024. We have been impressed with the team’s aggressive play through spring practice and their huge commitment to the weight room in the off-season. Their understanding of our defensive philosophy is also very impressive. The defensive line is made up with the same 3 starters from 2024. Our linebacking core has eight players that could play on Friday night, and 4 that played Friday night in 2024. Our secondary has the same familiar faces as 2024, but we are moving them around to better fit our philosophy. With our depth, knowledge, speed, and mostly a senior squad, we will be able to accomplish great things this season. On Special Teams, with our kicker and punter graduating, this opens up spots for competition. Our goal is to have every player realize, regardless of their position, that each and every player plays a vital and specific role to the overall team’s goal to be successful this season on the special teams units. Everyone in the program understands and values that all three phases of the game are vital to success.” Joe Coffey |
