Andrew S. Leh Stadium To Host 55th Annual McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Football Classic

For many years, The McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Football Classic has been a game that allows players from the Valley to showcase their talent, as well as a way to raise proceeds for charitable causes like St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and Team Ronald McDonald House. This year, however, there has been a new theme added to honor the 250th anniversary of the USA, which will have the teams wear red, white, and blue uniforms instead of their traditional ones. This is not the first time there has been uniform changes for the teams, as they wore green and white to honor the Eagles Super Bowl LIX Victory at last year’s event in 2025. Another change for this year’s game will be the first ever parents challenge, where parents of some of the football players will compete for extra rewards, with the moms competing to see if they can hit 3 targets from 10 yards away in 1 minute and dad’s trying to hit a 25 yard FG. Like last year’s game, players on both teams will be allowed to celebrate a touchdown in any way they choose, without any unsportsmanlike conduct flags being thrown.

As the players prepare for the game, they had practice today on Tuesday night, June 9th, as well as a banquet Wednesday night, with a surprise inductee into the LVASFC HOF, before the action goes down on Thursday Night at 7:30 PM.

President Kristen Pittman joined the board in 2002, was elected VP in 2007, where she served for 4 years until she elected President in 2011 and served until 2019, where she took a 2 year sabbatical and resumed in 2022, started selling programs with her sister in 1983 after being recruited by her father John C. Pittman, who joined the Board of Directors in 1982.

When asked the changes over the years with the game, Kristen said “The game’s tradition is deep rooted in the valley, starting in 1970 as the city vs suburban game, then moving on to LARC and with McDonald’s introduction in 1983 became the McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All Star Football Classic. The game raises $30,000 which is spread evenly between The Ronald McDonald House and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.” Pittman added, “This game would not be possible if it weren’t for the time and talents of the senior football players, cheerleaders of the Lehigh valley, and coaches who take two weeks out of their schedule, to come together for such a worthy cause. For many of these players and cheerleaders it is the last time stepping out on the gridiron. It is a tremendous undertaking, but such a worthwhile endeavor for those involved and for our outstanding board of directors.”

The Ronald McDonald House Team features Bangor’s Coach Vinnie Andrews and many players from Easton, such as QB Cole Ordway and WR Mason Stout, Pen Argyl, such as QB Mason Soos and WR Zachary Metzgar, Northampton, such as Center Riley Montgomery and WR Noah Kline, and Notre Dame, such as Center Cody Hartman and OL Austin Casal. Leading the ground attack on this team is Southern Lehigh RB, Sean Steckert, who had a record breaking senior 2025 season with 3,211 yards on 386 carries and 45 TDs, leading his team to PIAA 4A State Title in the process.

The St Luke’s Children’s Hospital Team features Catasauqua’s Coach Henrich and some of the Valley’s most explosive players, including Whitehall WR Bryce Medina, Parkland WR JJ Brader, Dieruff WR/LB Alphy Deris, and Pocono MTN East WR Amari Green. Emmaus QB Peter Sherman and ES North QB Wayne King are among the QBs that will be throwing to this deep and talented WR group. Leading the ground attack for this group will be Northern Lehigh FB/LB Grady Newhard who finished with 667 yards on 154 carries and 9 TDs.
