Fun Facts:
With Coach Prete leading the way Roman in 2024 won their first city title since 1947 and would advance to the PIAA Championship game where they would fall to Bishop McDevitt in overtime. Roman would extract revenge one year later against the same McDevitt team winning their first ever state title in football behind stellar play of all-time great QB Semaj Beals.
Semaj Beals shattered all Roman single game, single season and career passing records for completions, attempts, yards & touchdowns as a 4-year starter.
Nick Moody was a phenomenal athlete who starred at cornerback, linebacker and safety for Roman. He would earn a scholarship to Florida State where he would earn a couple starts as a true freshman and continue to star for the Seminoles before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Will Fuller started all 3 years at Roman and finished his career as the city all-time leader in receiving yards with 2380. He complied those numbers with 135 receptions and 27 receiving touchdowns. He also stared as a defensive back nabbing a total of 6 interceptions and returning a fumble for a touchdown. Will went on to star at Notre Dame before becoming a 1st round NFL Draft pick of the Houston Texans in the 2016 NFL Draft.
