Berwick Blanks Selinsgrove 56-0 Behind Wilkerson’s 4 Touchdowns (VIDEO RECAP)

BERWICK – Last season around this time, the Bulldogs sat at 3-6, fighting for a spot in the District 2 playoffs. This year however has been a complete turnaround for Berwick. The Bulldogs rode another strong performance from Ty’Meere Wilkerson to a 56-0 demolition of Selingrove, winning their ninth straight game. The story for Wilkerson this year has been him chasing Berwick’s single season rushing record which is currently held by Brant Quick back in 2004 when he rushed for 2,436 yards. After ruhing for 249 yards on 14 carries last night, Wilkerson sits at 2,208 yards, just 228 yards short of the record with one regular season game to go. Along with the 249 yards, Wilkerson also added four touchdowns on the ground. The rest of Berwick’s scores came from Caleb May, Gabe Decker, Everett Snyder, and Jojo Santiago, all of whom had one. This win puts Berwick at 9-0, and next week they will be on the road to face Tunkhannock to try to put together their first undefeated regular season since 2013.
