Bloomsburg Legendary Coach Danny Hale inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame

Danny Hales a legendary coach at both West Chester University and Bloomsburg University has been inducted by the NFL network into the 2024 class for the College Football Hall of Fame. Coach Hale began his head coaching career in 1984 at his alma mata West Chester University where he twice won PSAC East titles and qualified for the playoffs once. After a 4 year break he would accept the head coaching job at Bloomsburg University a rival of West Chester in 1993. He would leave his mark with the Huskies program winning 11 PSAC East titles with the best season coming in 2000 when he would be named AFCA Division II Coach of the Year after leading Bloomsburg to a 12-3 record and an D2 National Championship game appearance. Coach Hales retired from coaching with an 213-69-1 record as a head coach while compiling an 7-9 NCAA playoff record. He left Bloomsburg with the most wins in school history and top 5 in wins for Division 2 football as a head coach. He coached numerous all American players with the most tenured PSAC NFL player being star offensive lineman Jahri Evans who would play in the NFL for 12 seasons making the Pro Bowl 6 times, All Pro team 4 times, won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints and was recently inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame. Jahri was recently named an finalist for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of fame Class of 2024.
