Incredible game by Garden Spot Friday night against Elizabethtown. They beat Garden Spot 66-21 at Elizabethtown. Garden Spot was coming in kind of under the radar, but now after a huge win. Win next week and they tie for the Section 3 Lancaster-Lebanon Title.

Team of the week– Garden Spot. Scoring 66 games on the road is a huge accomplishment. Coach Zamperini of Garden Spot said it was the biggest game they won in years. Next up at 9-0 Solanco.

Coach of the week– George Eager of Hempfield. They clinched a least a share of the Section 1 Lancaster-Lebanon League title with a win over Cedar Crest on Friday. If they beat Reading they will win their first outright section title for a first time in a long time.

Player of the week- Kye Harting of Garden Spot had himself a ball game Friday night. He rushed for and passed for over 100 yards and had a total of 5 touchdowns in the win for Garden Spot.

Playoff Preview going into Week 10 of Games for District 3

6A

1st seed Central York vs. 8th seed Carlisle

2nd seed Hempfield vs. 7th seed Wilson

3rd seed Harrisburg vs. 6th seed York High

4th seed Manheim Township vs. 5th seed Cumberland Valley

Comment: Wow, some great games in this match up. Township vs. Cumberland Valley be a rematch from earlier this year, so would Hempfield vs. Wilson. Central York would get a break avoiding Wilson or York High in round 1.

5A

1st 4 get bye: Solanco, Exeter, New Oxford, Shippensburg.

5th seed Gettysburg vs. 12th seed Northern York

6th seed Elizabethtown vs. 11th seed Ephrata

7th seed South Western vs. 10th seed Garden Spot

8th seed Dover vs. 9th seed Cedar Cliff

Comment: Getting a buy can be a positive and a negative. The favorite in this bracket to me is Exeter. Exeter is really good. Solanco plays vs. Garden Spot, so both teams can still improve their chances of improving there playoff chances. Elizabethtown vs. Ephrata play this week, so could be a re-match the following week.

4A

1st 6 get bye: Manheim Central, Bishop McDevitt, Lampeter Strasburg, Milton Hershey, Susquehanna Township, and Twin Valley.

8th seed York Suburban vs. 9th seed Kennard-Dale

7th seed East Pennsboro vs. 10th seed Elco.

Comment: Real interesting match ups here. Manheim Central, McDevitt and Lampeter Strasburg all probably have a shot at winning this bracket. In 1st round Kennard-Dale and York Suburban played earlier this year.

3A

1st 2 get bye: Wyomissing and Lancaster Catholic.

3rd seed West Perry vs. 6th seed Upper Dauphin

4th seed Hamburg vs. 5th seed Schuylkill Valley

Comment: Hamburg and Schuylkill Valley played earlier this year. Lancaster Catholic has had a great year, but Wyomissing is the overwhelming favorite as the state power.

2A

1st seed Anneville Cleona vs. 4th seed Camp Hill

2nd seed Delone Catholic vs. 3rd seed Trinity

Comment: All 4 teams have had good years, to me it is wide open race to win this bracket.

1A

1st seed Steelton-Highspire vs. 2nd seed Fairfield

Comment: Steelton the heavy favorite to win this and make a state title run.
