Player of the week: Beau Priula. Beau and Central York routed York High 60-14. Beau had 5 touchdowns. 2 rushings and 3 through the air, but it was much more than the stats. It was his ability to make plays for his team constantly. Need a 1st down? I will run for it. Need a big pass play? He throws it. Constantly just makes the right plays for his team.

Team of the week: Wilson. Back-to-back wins against Hempfield and Township to win the outright section title are really impressive. After starting 2-3 on the year Wilson won all 5 games in section play to finish 7-3.

Coach of the week: Dave Hahn of Manheim Central. Last year Manheim Central had a down season, with a losing record. This year they responded and finished the regular season 9-1 with a share of the section title. Plus they are currently the number 2 seed in 5A District 3 playoffs.

Top 5 District 3 Playoff games

1)6A Manheim Township (8th) vs. Central York (1)- Manheim Township is an 8 seed, but they have played everyone close. There 4 losses are by a combined 16 points. They have lost 3 games by 3 points each. Central York is undefeated and trying to repeat as District 3 champs.

2) 6A Central Dauphin East (3rd) vs. Hempfield (6th)-Central Dauphin East is playing well and finished 7-3 in the ultra-competitive Mid Penn. Hempfield is 6-4 in the LL league, but also played a tough non-conference game.

3) 4A Northern York (8th) vs. Octorara (9th)- Octorora comes in with an 8-2 record, where Northern York comes into it with a 6-3 record but a higher seed because they played a tougher schedule. The winner of this game against Bishop McDevitt.

4) 2A Columbia (2nd) vs. Northern Dauphin (3rd) – Northern Dauphin comes in from the Mid-Penn 8-1 and Columbia from the LL with the same record. Both teams put up a lot of points.

5) 4A Kennard Dale (3rd) vs. Donegal (6th) – Kennard-Dale comes into the game with a 9-1 record, the best in school history where Donegal is 6-3, but playing well. Both teams run the Wing-T so expect a smash-mouth running game between both teams.

Play of the week– Tight end screen. This play works great. This is a good call on 3rd down when teams think you will take a shot down the field. Have your Quarterback drop back scan the field then hit the Tight End for a big screenplay.
