Sharon 35, Brooke 3

Ike Friday rushed for 161 yards and four touchdowns as Sharon concluded the regular season at 9-1. Friday had touchdown runs of 2,6,10,1 yards. Ethan Engelmore completed 14-of-19 passes for 169 yards and scored on a 1-yard run for the Tigers. Chase Hile connected on a 39-yard field goal for Brooke, who hails from West Virginia’s northern panhandle.

Corry 26, Oil City 21

Nolan Carey completed 23-of-41 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning 13-yard touchdown pass to Keaton Frisina. Oil City rallied from a 20-7 deficit with Cole Findlay scoring on a 9-yard run and throwing a 5-yard touchdown to Dawan Cruz to take a 21-20 lead. Carey threw two first-half touchdowns of 18 yards to Mason Savitz and three yards to Blake Cook. Nick Lesher added a 1-yard run for the Beavers. Cruz added a 2-yard run in the first quarter for the Oilers and ran for 85 yards.

Lakeview 44, Franklin 12

Lakeview built a 44-6 halftime lead en route to a 44-12 victory over Franklin to clinch a spot in the District 10 Class A playoffs. Leyton Zacherl accounted for six touchdowns, including four scoring passes to pace the Sailors. Zacherl threw touchdowns of 42 and 15 yards to Blake Skiles while also catching a 24-yard score from Skiles. Skiles added a 19-yard touchdown run. Zacherl also connected with Brayden Booher and Owen Reynolds on touchdowns of 46 and 25 yards and scored on a 10-yard run. Zacherl completed 12 of 20 passes for 282 yards while rushing for 77 yards. Caiden Mincer scored on a 1-yard run for Franklin and led the Knights with 81 yards. Jason Carey also threw a 10-yard touchdown to Connor Johnson.

North East 29, Warren 14

Bryson Galloway rushed for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to lift North East past Warren 29-14 as both schools closed their seasons Friday night. Tied at 14, Galloway scored on a 3-yard run and added a 25-yard scamper minutes later to put the finishing touches on the game. Galloway rushed for 106 yards. Ethen Ringer rushed for 202 yards on 25 carries to lead the Grape Pickers. Ringer’s 8-yard run opened the scoring, while his 1-yard run tied the game at 14. Brady Shene threw two touchdowns for Warren, both to Noah Bleech. Ayden Corbett led the Dragons with 81 yards on 17 carries.

Conneaut 35, Girard 0

Joe Furgiuele ran for over 400 yards and scored four touchdowns as Conneaut punched their ticket to the postseason. Easler threw for 65 yards and a touchdown pass to Alex Paskorz. Furgiuele went over 2,000 all-purpose yards, while Easler went over 1,000 passing.

Seneca 41, Maplewood 22

Rylan Harwood completed 7-of-18 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown while adding 44 yards on the ground for two scores as Seneca downed Maplewood. Edan Lucas added 34 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Joe Brennan added a 22-yard touchdown pass to Dominic Buscemi, who caught eight passes for 134 yards. Maplewood scored on touchdown runs by Derek Shaw and Kyle Jordan. Jordan also threw a touchdown to Levi Willison. Andrew Proper rushed for 114 yards to lead the Tigers.

Harbor Creek 56, Iroquois 14

Harbor Creek ended their season with a bang as they blitzed rival Iroquois 56-14. Six different Huskies found the end zone as Harbor Creek got touchdown runs from Tobias Vahey, Heath Betza, Gavin Zillman, Brady Powers, and a pair of rushing scores from Cameron Herman. Zillman led the Huskies with 181 yards on 13 carries, while Betza also threw a 45-yard touchdown to Hayden Dylewski. Cole Bennett threw for 118 yards to lead the Braves, including a touchdown pass to Carmelo Hunter. Treyvon Scott added a touchdown and 47 yards rushing for Iroquois.

Saegertown 21, Northwestern 8

Aaron Shartle rushed 136 yards and two touchdowns to lead Saegertown past Northwestern. Cru Scott also caught a touchdown pass from William Shaffer. Scott added 77 yards rushing for the Panthers.

Slippery Rock 20, Mercer 0

Owen Long and Doug Popovec scored fourth-quarter touchdowns as Slippery Rock pulled away from Mercer 20-0 Friday night. Long rushed for a game-high 89 yards on 21 carries, while Popovec completed 8-of-18 passes for 128 yards. Sawyer Allen returned a blocked punt 48 yards to open the scoring for the Rockets. Rider Chiappini led the Mustangs with 23 yards.

Greenville 27, Eisenhower 6

Rudy Gentile rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns as Greenville won their 9th straight game, 27-6 over Eisenhower. Gentile took his first carry 78 yards for a touchdown. Nick Soldrich also went over 100 yards rushing and scored on a 7-yard run. He also connected with Justin Schell for a 13-yard touchdown pass. Gentile added a 4-yard run, putting the Trojans up 27-0. Logan Penley scored on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter for Eisenhower.

Erie 44, Meadville 7

Erie scored the game’s final 36 points and cruised past Meadville 44-7 Friday night. The Bulldogs had taken an 8-7 lead on Jordan Lawrence’s 16-yard run in the second quarter, but Giovanni Crosby returned the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown, and the Royals never looked back. Quani Darnell added touchdown passes for 12 yards to Christian Hamilton and 19 yards to Markel Pope while scoring on a 92-yard run. Lawrence ran for 149 yards for the Bulldogs.

St. Francis 35, McDowell 33

Blayze Myers became McDowell’s all-time leader in passing yards, but the Trojans couldn’t get by St. Francis 35-33 Friday night. After a quarter, McDowell held a 13-7 lead, but St. Francis took a 21-13 lead into the locker room. Myers scored on a 1-yard run and added a 21-yard touchdown pass to James Zigler. Daymar Dickerson and Stephon Porter also had touchdown runs for the Trojans.

Cathedral Prep 7, Farrell 0

Charbel Latouf’s 2-yard touchdown run at the 3:04 mark of the first quarter proved to be the lone score in the contest as Cathedral Prep held off Farrell 7-0. The Steelers had a touchdown called back on a penalty and had a 16-play play drive stall at the end of the second quarter.
