Saegertown 23, Maplewood 0

Aaron Shartle rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown as Saegertown blanked Maplewood Thursday night in Guys Mills.

Mercyhurst Prep 47, Union City 0

Mercyhurst Prep bounced back following a tough loss to Corry last week with a 47-0 victory over Union City. Vinny Felciano rushed for four touchdowns to lead the Lakers, who led 20-0 at halftime. Felciano scored on a 74-yard run, giving Mercyhurst Prep a 7-0 lead. He added a 13-yard jaunt in the second quarter while Tyshawn Tate returned a punt for a touchdown. In the second half, Felciano scored 35 and 77 yards on runs and caught an 89-yard scoring pass. Tate also had a 10-yard receiving touchdown.

Hickory 56, Titusville 21

Hickory scored early and often as the Hornets ran past Titusville 56-21. The Hornets incredibly ran only 20 offensive plays yet scored touchdowns on seven of them. Quarterback Zander Telesz scored on runs of five and 88 yards in the opening quarter, while Kelvin Morrison added a 3-yard run. Both Morrison and Telesz went over the century mark as Telesz rushed three times for 114 yards and Morrison seven times for 102. Morrison scored on a 1-yard run and added a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, while Jadon Philips caught a 5-yard pass from Telesz. Hickory led 42-14 at halftime, and the mercy rule went into effect when Morrison scored on a 57-yard run early in the third quarter. Jamal Calhoun scored on a 38-yard for the Hornets to close the scoring. Ian McDonald tossed a pair of touchdowns for Titusville as he led the Rockets, completing 14-of-25 passes for 194 yards. McDonald threw first-half touchdowns to Kameron Mong and Brett Schmidt, covering 14 and 48 yards, respectively. McDonald added 74 yards rushing. Jaydin O’Neil scored on a 4-yard run for the other Titusville touchdown.

Sharon 35, Grove City 0

Sharon had five players score touchdowns as the Tigers cruised to a 35-0 mercy rule victory over Grove City. Ike Friday, Terrian White, and Cassius Hosey each scored rushing touchdowns, while Ethan Engelmore’s 1-yard run opened the scoring in the first quarter. His 50-yard touchdown pass to Logan Perks gave the Tigers a 14-0 lead after quarter. Friday, who rushed for a game-high 97 yards, scored on a 1-yard in the second quarter, extending the lead to 21-0 at halftime. Sharon then invoked the mercy clock with two quick touchdowns in the third quarter as White scored on a 37-yard run, followed by Hosey’s 10-yard two minutes later.

Meadville 62, Franklin 6

Meadville scored 35 points in the second quarter en route to a 62-6 victory over Franklin. Jordan Lawrence rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on four carries. Lawrence scored on runs of 52 and 50 yards for the Bulldogs. Jacoby Thompson scored on a 60-yard run and threw touchdowns of 52 yards to Amari Grenaway and 29 yards to Tymier Phillips and 1-yard to Ryan Elverton. Bradyn Miller, Grenaway, and Bryce Benge added rushing touchdowns for Meadville. Connor Ritchey kicked 21 and 30-yard field for the Knights. Jason Carey passed for 76 yards to lead Franklin.

General McLane 48, Warren 6

Isaac Zietz became the first General McLane quarterback to pass for 3000 yards in a season as the Lancers rolled to a 48-6 victory over Warren Friday night. Isaac Zietz completed 17-of-22 passes for 214 yards and four touchdowns. The Lancers led 28-0 as Zietz threw three touchdowns to Teige Berger, who caught five passes for 82 yards. Kyle McConnell returned a punt for a touchdown. Warren scored before halftime on Brady Shene’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Chase Myers. McConnell caught a 7-yard pass from Zietz in the second half, and Gradey Sharp added a 1-yard run for the Lancers.

Harbor Creek 31, Girard 12

Harbor Creek won their second consecutive game as the Huskies built a 31-6 lead after three quarters en route to victory over Girard. Tyshawn Jones ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns to lead Harbor Creek. Heath Betza completed 7-of-9 passes for 68 yards and threw a touchdown to Cameron Herman, who also returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown. Betza added a field goal. Ryan St. Julian threw a 28-yard touchdown to James Kibbe, who finished the night with seven catches for 119 yards. Carson Stevens added a 1-yard run for the Yellowjackets.

Seneca 27, Eisenhower 14

Freshman Zach Moats rushed for 150 yards on 13 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead Seneca past Iroquois. Rylan Harwood scored two rushing touchdowns and completed 3-0f-4 passes for 57 yards. Seneca led 21-0 at halftime. Caleb Jakubczak and Logan Penley scored rushing touchdowns as the Knights tried to rally in the second half. Penley ran for 83 yards to lead Eisenhower.

Iroquois 20, Northwestern 12

Iroquois scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to rally past Northwestern 20-12. Nykeem Abu-Zebiba rushed for 130 yards on seven carries and scored on a 70-yard run for the Braves. Treyvon Scott added two rushing touchdowns and ran for 42 yards and three touchdowns. Cole Bennett completed 12 of 20 passes for 87 yards and added 32 yards to the ground. Brody Bickenhouser ran for 140 yards and a touchdown to lead the Wildcats. Reese Gonzales caught an 11-yard touchdown from Braden Swift for the other Northwestern touchdown.

Corry 48, North East 0

Nolan Carey threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns to lead Corry past North East 48-0. Blake Cook caught four passes for 2o1 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Will Allen added four grabs for 76 yards and a touchdown. Nick Lesher had two rushing touchdowns, while Deion Canady led the Beavers with 49 yards and a touchdown. Pascal Laorte led the Grape Pickers with 70 yards rushing.

Greenville 36, Lakeview 0

Greenville continued to roll as the Trojans won their sixth consecutive game and fourth straight by the mercy rule. Nick Soldrich threw two 9-yard first-half touchdown passes to Cael Thurber and Just Schell, while Thurber added a 2-yard run. Rudy Gentile then added a pair of third-quarter touchdown runs of three and two yards to ignite the running clock. Soldrich completed 5-of-7 passes for 103 yards and ran for 127 to lead Greenville. Gentile added 83 yards on the ground. Leyton Zacherl rushed for 25 yards and completed 5-of-10 passes for 53 yards to lead the Sailors but was intercepted three times.

Sharpsville 35, Mercer 6

Jaiden White and Geno Currie combined to rush for 154 yards and three touchdowns as Sharpsville improved their record to 6-1. Currie’s 5-yard run opened the scoring, while Aiden Puskar caught a 42-yard pass from Aiden Cadman, giving the Blue Devils a 14-0 lead after a quarter. Currie added a 2-yard run in the second quarter before Alex Leftheris got the Mustangs on the board with an 8-yard run in the third quarter. Currie rushed for 99 yards on 11 carries. His 34-yard reception from Coleman put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. White, who ran for a game-high 155 yards, then scored on a 30-yard run. Colin Wise led Mercer with 42 yards rushing, and Leftheris added 41.

Cambridge Springs 54, Cochranton 0

The Blue Devils led 42-0 at halftime, as Cambridge Springs pitched its second straight shutout and won its fourth consecutive contest. Brett Kania rushed for 118 yards on 12 carries and scored three rushing touchdowns to lead the Blue Devils. Brandon Hoover added a 75-yard run, while Jordan Washington rushed for 85 yards on two carries with a 60-yard touchdown run. Hoover threw a 9-yard touchdown to Morgan Applebee, and Hunter Perry scored on a 1-yard run, while Noah Holland returned an interception for the other Blue Devil touchdowns.

Fairview 10, Fort LeBoeuf 0

Fairview took control of Region 5 with a 10-0 win over Fort LeBoeuf. Carlo Cimino completed 10-of-18 for 148 yards and a touchdown to lead the Tigers. Both schools played without their respective starting quarterbacks. Fairview took a first-quarter lead when Daniel Lindenberger booted a 35-yard field goal. The Tigers extended their lead in the second quarter when Cimino connected with Tyler DiVecchio on a 13-yard touchdown. In the second half, Brady King and Joey O’Reilly had interceptions to seal the victory for the Tigers. O’Reilly rushed for 91 yards on carries.

Slippery Rock 16, Conneaut 13

Doug Popovec’s 51-yard run with 3:51 remaining helped Slippery Rock snap a 4-game skid as the Rockets downed Conneaut. Popovec, who rushed for 73 yards, opened the scoring with a 2-yard run in the first quarter. The Eagles came storming back as Joe Furgiuele ran an 81-yard touchdown and caught a 23-yard touchdown from Ben Easler in the fourth quarter after the Rockets had taken a 9-7 lead on Zach Lasko’s 31-yard field goal. Furgieule ran for 163 yards on 15 carries while catching four passes for 49 yards. Slippery Rock was led by Owen Long, who ran for 104 yards.

McDowell 44, Cathedral Prep 21

The Trojans raced out to a 27-0 first-half lead en route to a 44-21 victory over rival Cathedral Prep.

Farrell earned a 1-0 forfeit victory over Kennedy Catholic. The Steelers now sport a 3-4 record.

Erie 14, Oil City 7

Erie High won their second consecutive game with a 14-7 victory over Oil City. Quani Darnell scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Royals to victory. Darnell’s 41-yard scramble on 4th-and-12 opened the scoring, while his 5-yard run in the fourth quarter proved the difference.

Wilmington 56, Reynolds 9

The Greyhounds scored 42 first-half points and routed Reynolds 56-9 Saturday night in Transfer.
