
District 2 well represented on PA football writers Class 1A, 3A All-State teams

Congratulations are in order for a number of young men from District 2 who were named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State team.
Headlining the Class 1A team were 4 standouts from Lackawanna Trail.

Lackawanna Trail RB Isaac Ryon
#10 RB Isaac Ryon , a 5-10 180 lb. junior ran for 1719 yards and 26 TD’s on the season and got better as the year went along.
#74 DL/OL Lucas Evans, a 6-3 265 lb. junior was an anchor on a very good line that executed the Lion wishbone offense well.

Lackawanna Trail RB/DB Demitrius Douglas
#5 RB/LB Demitrius Douglas, a 5-10 185 lb senior ran for almost 1000 yards but really made himself known at LB as a dominant force against the run.

Lackawanna Trail WR/DB Max Kimmel
#23 WR/DB Max Kimmel, a 6-3 185 lb. senior had a terrific season in the Lion secondary.
On the Class 3A squad, the season certainly was highlighted by 3 outstanding RB’s.

Wyoming Area RB Lidge Kellum
#2 Wyoming Area RB Lidge Kellum, a 5-10 170 lb. senior emerged like a bolt of lightning as he ran for 2297 yards with 31 TD’s.

Western Wayne RB Josh Vinton
#28 Western Wayne RB Josh Vinton, a 5-8 185 lb. senior ran for 2270 yards and 32 total TD’s to help lead the Wildcats to a 10-2 record.

Mid Valley RB Jakob Lesher
#10 Mid Valley RB Jakob Lesher, a 6-3 175 lb senior ran for 1810 yards and 20 TD’s as he became the Spartans all-time leading rusher in school history.

Wyoming Area OL/DL Chase DeSanto
#57 Wyoming Area DL/OL Chase DeSanto, a 6-4 280 lb. senior and Sacred Heart commit had another dominant season in the trenches for the Warriors.
A trio of Cavaliers from Scranton Prep also made the team.

Scranton Prep QB Louis Paris
QB Louis Paris, a 5-11 220 lb. senior and Franklin & Marshall commit became the first QB in school history to run for 1000 yards and pass for 1000 yards in the same season. He also ran for 17 TD’s and threw for 11 TD’s.

Scranton Prep LB Reese Tanner
#25 LB Reese Tanner, a 5-11 230 lb senior has been dominating the middle of the field for several seasons and was especially crucial to Prep’s success this year.

Scranton Prep WR/DB Will McPartland
#12WR/DB Will McPartland, a 6-0 195 lb. junior and do-it-all guy for the Cavaliers really stepped it up in the secondary this season. McPartland is a multi-tool standout for Prep who is expected to play QB in his senior season.

Western Wayne WR/DB Sean Owens
#10 Western Wayne WR/DB Sean Owens, a 6-0 185 lb senior had almost 1000 yards on the offensive side of the ball, but really made his presence known in the Wildcat secondary with his terrific athleticism.
