
District 9 Combine a Complete Success

The 2nd Annual District 9 Combine was held Saturday June 1st at Frank Varischetti Field in Brockway. Eighteen of the twenty-three District 9 teams were represented and over 100 kids came out on a picture-perfect day to test their skills. Ten colleges were also on hand to observe the talent. Circle W Sports provided the performance tracker app to record all the results.
The winners of the skills competitions were Anthony Ceriani, Brookville champ of the Flying 10; Jase Ferguson of Central Clarion had a 40-yard dash time of 4.48; Logan Moore, Punxsutawney had the best time in the pro shuttle; Danny Dixon of DuBois won two events – the vertical jump and the broad jump; Jacob Abers of Bradford had the most reps in the 185-pound bench press with 17; and Hayden Hindman, Central Clarion had the most reps in the 225 pound bench press with 15.
