Friday, October 31, 2025:

Central Clarion (7-4) @ Karns City (8-2) (Brookville H.S.) – 7:00 pm

The Central Clarion Wildcats are coached by Dave Eggleton and have scored 331 points while giving up 175 this year.  Carter Hindman, Ethan Rex, and Mason Burford lead the offense.  Hindman, the sophomore QB, has passed for 1,063 yards and 12 TDs.  Burford is his favorite receiver, catching 37 tosses for 531 yards and 3 scores.  RB Ethan Rex is the go to guy out of the backfield.  He has darted around the field for 995 yards and 14 touchdowns.  Charlie Hepfl has made over 130 tackles on defense for Central Clarion, and Jackson Mravintz has pulled down a half dozen interceptions for the Wildcats..

The Karns City Gremlins defeated Central Clarion during the regular season 35-14.  The Gremlins gained almost 300 yards on the ground.  Central Clarion played without star running back Ethan Rex, but did pass for 240 yards.

Karns City is coached by Joe Sherwin.  The Gremlins’ offense has scored 434 points this year.  The defense has given up a total of 221 to date.  This team likes to run the ball down your throat, but they can and will pass.  QB Cole Johnston is the catalyst.  He has thrown for 1,069 yards and 12 TDs, plus he’s rushed for 632 yards and 16 touchdowns.  Hunter Scherer is one of three main running backs that weigh about 200 pounds or more.  He has 622 yards on the ground and has scored 18 touchdowns.  By the way, Cole Johnston weighs 210 pounds.  That is a big backfield.  C.J. Emrick is far and away the leading tackler for the Gremlins.

Clearfield (8-3) @ Punxsutawney (9-1) (Brockway H.S.) – 7:00 pm

Clearfield is coached by Myles Caragein.  Clearfield’s offense is led by QB Xavier Curry, RB Colton Ryan, and WR Cooper Broad.  Curry has thrown for 1,211 yards and 10 scores.  Ryan has raced up and down the field for 1,417 yards and 20 touchdowns.  Broad has accumulated 29 receptions for 581 yards and 6 TDs.  Ryan has piled up 119 tackles for the Bison defense.  The Clearfield Bison have been involved in an amazing seven one-score games this year, but have outscored opponents 279-185.

It appears Clearfield leads the all-time series 46-42-3 as they have dominated pretty much since 1998 winning 16 of the last 17 games with Punxsy.  Obviously in the early years the Chucks were the dominant team.

Punxsutawney is coached by Brandon Snyder.  The Chucks have scored 395 points and allowed 158 this season.  Punxsy’s QB, Maddox Hetrick, has pitched the pigskin for 1,537 yards and 14 touchdowns.  His favorite targets are Logan Moore and Beau Thomas.  Moore has caught 50 balls for 701 yards and 7 scores.  Thomas has 33 grabs for 528 yards and 5 TDs.  RB Jordan Rutan has 1,035 yards rushing and 15 TDs.  The Chucks have another weapon on offense in kicker Owen Roken, who has booted 3 field goals of over 40 yards this year and 7 FGs overall.  Beau Thomas leads the ‘D’ with 115 tackles.

DuBois (7-4) @ Hollidaysburg (11-0) – 7:00 pm

DuBois is coached by TJ Wingard.  QB Trey Wingard has flung the football for 2,889 yards and 41 touchdowns.  Leading receiver, Jaxson Hanzely, has snagged 72 aerials for 1,590 yards and 21 TDs.  RB London Duncan quietly has run up 820 yards on the ground.  He’s scored 10 touchdowns, including 2 on kick returns.  Dalton Reasinger leads the team with 125 tackles on defense.  Samson Deeb has collected 6 interceptions for the Beavers.  The Beavers have lit up the scoreboard with 412 points, but they’ve allowed 305.  An interesting stat for this season is if DuBois scores 38 or more points they win, but if they score 35 or less they lose.

Hollidaysburg routed DuBois 49-0 in the last game of the regular season.  They also beat DuBois twice last year, once during the season and again in the playoffs.  The Golden Tigers are coached by Homer DeLattre.  They have scored 500 points and only given up 121.  QB Cole DeLattre has thrown for over 1,000 yards and rushed for over 1,100 yards.  In the process he has accounted for 28 touchdowns, with 20 of them coming via the run.  RB Carter Muth leads the ground game with 1,319 yards and 21 scores.  Josh Banks leads the team on defense.  The Golden Tigers have forced 33 turnovers and 8 have resulted in touchdowns.

Saturday, November 1, 2025:

Redbank Valley (7-4) @ Union-AC Valley (10-1) (Brookville H.S.) – 1:00 pm

The Bulldogs of Redbank are coached by Blane Gold.  Quarterback Braylon Wagner and wide receiver Jaxon Huffman show the way on offense.  Wagner has passed for 2,171 yards with 25 touchdown tosses.  Huffman has 73 catches for 1,035 yards and 8 TDs.  Wagner is the leading rusher too, going for 624 yards and 6 TDs.  Easton Magagnotti and Huffman are the leading tacklers for the Bulldogs.  Coach Gold’s team has scored 341 points and given up 277.

In a good game very early in the season, UACV topped Redbank by a score of 26-22.  Wagner (300 yards passing) and Huffman (8 catches and 133 yards receiving) were much of the offense for RBV.  Max Gallagher gained 150 yards carrying the ball and Andrew Kifer threw for 130 to lead the Falcon Knights.

Union-AC Valley is coached by Dan Reed.  The Falcon Knights are led by running backs Max Gallagher and Logan Sibinski, plus freshman QB Andrew Kifer.  Gallagher has galloped for 1,211 yards and 20 TDs.  Skibinski has scooted for 1,088 yards and 17 scores.  Kifer has thrown for 1,353 yards and 8 touchdowns in his first varsity season.  UACV has scored 340 points while limiting opponents to 124.  Gallagher also heads up the defense.  He has 116 tackles to date in 2025.

Keystone (6-5) @ Port Allegany (10-0) (Kane H.S.) – 1:00 pm

Four of the Keystone Panther losses have been by six points or less, and two have been by one point.  Keystone did not play Port Allegany during the regular season.  The Panthers have outscored their opponents to the tune of 458 to 194.  Dom Corcetti is a magic man at quarterback.  He’s not only passed for 1,050 yards and 14 TDs, but he has used his legs to jaunt about the field for 1,466 yards and 25 scores.  Jim Rankin and Jake Henry lead the Keystone defense.  Todd Smith is the Panther head coach.

The Port Allegany Gators are the 2024 Class 1A state runnersup.  They are coached by Justin Bienkowski and led on the field by all-state running back Aiden Bliss.  The Gators have outscored the opposition 501 to 172.  Bliss has run around, through, and over people for 1,935 yards and 28 touchdowns.  But as one dimensional as it sounds, Port Allegany has more offensive weapons.  QB Brennan Fillhart has thrown for 1,132 yards and a dozen TDs.  Kellen Veilleux has run for 8 scores and caught 9 touchdown tosses.  Julian Kaple, Ian Postlewait, and Bliss are the guys on defense.  Port’s defense has forced 20 turnovers.
