Let’s take a look at the District XI playoff picture as we enter the final week of the regular season. We’ll give you a breakdown of where teams stand, where they could move to, and who they could face in two weeks.

Class A

– Lackawanna Trail has clinched the top seed in the 4 team field

– Marian Catholic and Tri-Valley will square off in week 11, but who the #2 seed will be is still up in the air. The Colts face-off with rival Nativity BVM while Tri-Valley has a tall task ahead with Schuylkill Haven, the top seed in 2A. If both win or lose, Marian Catholic is likely the #2.

– With a win, Nativity BVM is in over Holy Cross. If Nativity loses and Holy Cross beats Susquehanna Community, Holy Cross is the #4 seed and Nativity goes Eastern Conference.

Class AA

– Schuylkill Haven is the top seed and will face #8 Catasauqua (If Haven loses and Williams Valley wins, Haven still out points the Vikings)

– Williams Valley is the #2 seed and will likely host #7 Executive Education(see below)

– Minersville, Palisades, and Northern Lehigh are all alive for the #3 seed, though Minersville clinches with an expected win over Panther Valley. If Northern Lehigh and Palisades both win, Northern Lehigh could jump Palisades for the #4.

– Pen Argyl would likely move to the #5 if they win and Northern Lehigh loses to Saucon Valley

– Executive Education can move up if Bangor beats Pen Argyl. There is a very outside chance they could also move to the #6 if they win and Northern Lehigh loses, though in most scenarios, Northern Lehigh out points them.

Class AAA

– Notre Dame Green Pond and Northwestern Lehigh remain alive for the top seed. If both win, it will come down to other opponents’ results as to who gets the top seed, with scenarios favoring NDGP. Top seed will host #8 Salisbury.

– North Schuylkill has clinched the #3 seed and will take on Tamaqua, Palmerton or Panther Valley in week 11

– Saucon Valley has clinched the #4 seed and will host Tamaqua, Palmerton, or an outside shot in Panther Valley

Class AAAA

– Southern Lehigh has clinched the top seed and will host Bangor, Wilson or ES North

– Bethlehem Catholic and Allentown Central Catholic are both alive for the #2 seed and the other will be the #3. The #2 belongs to Beca if they win.

– Blue Mountain has clinched the #4 seed and will host Lehighton or Jim Thorpe

– Jim Thorpe and Lehighton play each other. Winner will get the #5 seed. Loser will be the #6 or #7, depending if Pottsville wins

– The #8 seed, if all teams lose, will go to Bangor. It is a win-and-in situation for ES North.

Class AAAAA

– Playoffs are nearly decided in 5A, Whitehall hosts ES South. PM East and Pleasant Valley will play in the other semifinal, but who the #2 seed is is TBD. If PV wins and PME loses, PV is the #2.

Class AAAAAA

– Easton and Parkland remain alive for the top seed. If Easton wins, they’re #1. If they lose and Parkland wins, it will come down to opponents’ results to see if Parkland outpoints the Rovers. Scenarios favor Easton.

– Nazareth takes the #2 seed if they beat Easton and Emmaus defeats Parkland, otherwise, Nazareth will remain the #3

– Liberty and Freedom are virtually locked in to the #4/#5 game. However, there is a big scenario or two that could knock this out of alignment. If Liberty wins and Stroudsburg beats PV, it will come down to opponents’ results and though scenarios favor Freedom, Stroudsburg could sneak up to the #5 and drop Freedom to the #6. Additionally, if Northampton beats Bethlehem Catholic, they could throw a big wrench in this scenario and climb to the #5.

– Emmaus is the current #8. If PM West beats PM East and Emmaus loses to Parkland, PM West is in. Emmaus guarantees themselves a playoff berth if they beat bitter rival Parkland OR get a PM East victory over PM West. Emmaus could also rise as high as the #6 seed if they win, accompanied by losses from Northampton and Stroudsburg.
