Downingtown East Prospect Abraham Sesay Commits to Notre Dame

Abraham Sesay, a 6-5 215 defensive end from Downingtown East, committed to the University of Notre Dame on Tuesday morning. Sesay’s recruitment was a national agenda for colleges, in which he collected 34 Division 1 scholarships for his athletic and academic abilities. Locally, Sesay is known as a leader, always motivating his teammates by doing extra reps, setting examples, and being vocal on the field.
Furthermore, Sesay academically received a 4.3 GPA from Downingtown East, while being a consistent Honor Roll student. So when deciding on college, Sesay weighed Notre Dame’s reputation of educational and athletic performance, and valued an appreciation for head coach Marcus Freeman, who had a significant impact on Sesay. Sesay picked Notre Dame over LSU, Florida State, Duke, and Penn State.
