The town of Tunkhannock was packed with football fans for Friday night’s game between the Lackawanna Trail Lions and the Tunkhannock Tigers. While both teams had different storylines heading into this game, they both had one in common: Business. Tunkhannock started off strong by stopping Lackawanna Trail’s potent offense and forcing them to go 3 and out to start the game. Once the crowd got into the game Tunkhannock scored first as senior TE Karver Lewis scored to put the Tigers up first.
However, Lackawanna Trail still meant business and put a stop pretty quickly to Tunkhannock’s game plan. While the Tigers were able to make some decent plays on defense, they were no match for the trio including senior RB Demetrius Douglas, junior RB Isaac Ryon, and WR Max Kimmel, who totaled a combined 6 touchdowns. Demetrius Douglas gave credit to his offensive line for his 3 touchdown night, and reminds everyone that there is still a long way to go despite the big 41-7 win over Tunkhannock.
