Dallas wanted to continue the ride in the win column, and Pittston Area didn’t make it easy by any stretch. Dallas won the toss and elected to receive, and although I was personally puzzled by this decision, it appears Dallas knew what they were doing as Dallas’ Dylan Geskey threw the first punch, putting them up 7-0 over the Patriots. Dallas then ran Geskey into the endzone again pretty quickly and put Pittston on their heels. Pittston quarterback Matt Walter did feel the pressure, as he moved his offense down the field and then ran for a touchdown to make it 14-8. Dallas fumbled the kickoff, and Pittston drove to take the lead 15-14. However, Dallas wasn’t done either. Dylan Geskey scored his 3rd touchdown of the game with 4:36 left in the half. Dallas ended up throwing a pick after a stalled drive to seal the half, and the score was now 21-15 Dallas going into halftime.

When the second half started you could feel the tension between both sides of the stadium. Things got competitive and, at times, chippy on the field. Dallas, however, remembered very clearly the INT that ended the half. They not only remembered it, but avenged it by picking Walter’s first pass of the half off. Dallas was back in business again. Brady Zapoticky scored a touchdown with 4:04 to go in the 4th quarter, that made the score 28-15 Dallas and they got even more help from the Pittston offense due to a high snap that ended in a safety. Now it was 30-15 Dallas, and the 4th quarter started. When I tell you it was an exciting quarter of football, I mean it. Half way through it, Lucas LoPresto scored on a beautiful throw by Matt Walter, and the Patriots had life. Dallas’ next drive was a tad concerning, as they were unable to come up with anything, and with about 3 minutes to go the Patriots had a chance to score and tie it. The first 3 plays were either minor losses or neutral plays, and it all rested on one play. Matt Walter scrambled and saw Lopresto get separation, but unfortunately for Pittston it fell incomplete and Dallas held on to win it 30-22.
