Some players have a long, drawn out recruiting process that takes them to camps and campuses all over during a span of 2-3 years.  Susquhanna Twp DT Fatorma Mulbah saw his recruiting process light like a firecracker and just 5 months after his first offer, one from Buffalo, he received his first P5 offer from Penn State. Ten days after that 7v7 camp in Happy Valley, Fatorma decided he’d like to call Penn State “home” for the next several years after he graduates.  He announced his decision last night on twitter:

We caught up the the talented lineman and asked him about his visit

PFN: How long have you played football?

Fatormah: 3 years. This will be my 4th season.

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the PSU?

Fatormah: Not only did my family and I think it was the best fit because of football. But ultimately choosing
PSU will allow me to receive a world class education.

PFN: Why commit early?

Fatormah: When my process first started one of the things my coach and I was talked about was trying to make a decision before the season started so I can focus on my academics and my team limiting as many distractions as we can.

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at Penn State, who recruited you?

Fatormah: Coach Pry recruited me, I would not say there was one big influence.
Just the fact that a program like PSU wanted me to be apart of their historic program was very influential in my decision.

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Fatormah: A player that’s willing to learn and work hard in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. Someone who respects the opportunity that has been given to me. So why not give it my all.

PNF: PSU was your first P5 offer, were you surprised when they offered you?

Fatormah: For sure. I was soooooo excited when Coach Pry and Coach Spence extended the offer.

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?
Fatormah:

Very unique because I got to experience something I haven’t experienced before and it was all happening so fast. I got to visit an lot a great schools, and meet some great coaches.

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Fatormah: Business Management

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the PSU program?

Fatormah: Great Coaches and Great Fans, It mean EVERYTHING!!!

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

My head coach, Coach Headen
