A Review pf this past weekend’s action in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and a look into what is happening this week.
HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL IS BACK! The EPC will look much different next season as the North and South divisions will be replaced with the Lehigh, Northampton and Monroe divisions in 2024. Northampton, William Allen and Louis Dieruff will be back in the fold with the other Lehigh Valley teams, as the divisions will break down like this:
Lehigh: Allentown CC, William Allen, Louis Dieruff, Emmaus, Parkland Whitehall
NORTHAMPTON: Bethlehem Catholic, Easton, Freedom, Liberty, Nazareth, Northampton
MONROE: East Stroudsburg North, East Stroudsburg South, Pleasant Valley, Pocono Mtn East, Pocono Mtn West Stroudsburg.
The opening three weeks will be open dates: Schedule who you want, inside or outside the EPC. Then you will have 5 division games and one game with a team from each of other two divisions. For example Parkland would have to schedule a game with a team from Northampton like Easton and a game with Monroe like Stroudsburg.
The South’s dominance continued over the North this weekend as they went unbeaten at 9-0 and outscored them 319-30 in those games with 6 shutouts.
