On a cool afternoon with a mix of clouds and sun at George P. Miller Stadium, Indiana (PA) controlled the tempo from start to finish in a 26-6 win over Gannon to move to 6-2 on the season. After a scoreless first quarter, quarterback Matthew Rueve got the Crimson Hawks rolling with a 9-yard touchdown run to open the second. Gannon answered with a 4-yard rushing score from Rolando Perez, but a blocked PAT returned for two points swung momentum back to IUP. Rueve later connected with Devin Whitlock from a yard out just before halftime, giving the Hawks a 16-6 cushion as their defense smothered the Golden Knights’ offense.

The second half belonged entirely to IUP. Rueve continued to slice up the secondary, hitting Jeremiah Coleman for a 39-yard touchdown early in the third to extend the lead. From there, the Crimson Hawk defense took over—racking up six sacks and ten tackles for loss while making life miserable for quarterback Ty Hurst. Kicker Nick Andrasi added a 24-yard field goal in the fourth to cap the scoring, sealing a 26-6 win in front of the home crowd. Rueve finished with 356 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while Whitlock and Maurice Massey combined for nearly 200 receiving yards in another statement outing for IUP’s offense.
