IUP shuts out Clarion in home opener!

Clarion Golden Eagles(2-2) @ IUP Crimson Hawks(3-0)

IUP PF 27.0 PA 13.7
IUP had a dominating performance in their home opener against Clarion. IUP ran & passed well. Clarion struggled to do either. In fairness to their defense they were on the field so much they just worn down. The Hawks had a 40 to 20 minute time of possession advantage.

There were several local players at today’s game that I used to cover when they played in high school.

Clarion#46 Issac Wagner Northern Cambria Colts
Clarion #27 Logan Kent Conemaugh Valley BlueJays -Logan started at running back and on the kickoff teams.
Rushing 3 carries 4 yards
2 Receptions 7 yards
4 kick returns 94 yards
I also ran into three Kiski Cougars at the game!
