
Jr High Football Spotlight: Pittston Area defeats arch rival Wyoming Area 28-20 (Video Highlights)

On a Monday night in Yatesville, The Pittston Area Patriots hosted arch rival Wyoming Area in the Jr High edition of their annual rivalry game. After no scoring for almost 2 quarters, Deondre Miller of Pittston Area opened up the scoring with 20 seconds left in the 1st half. Pittston Area jumped out to a 28-6 lead with 4:40 left in the game, Kayden Bailey and Deondre Miller both had 2 touchdowns in this game for the Patriots. Wyoming Area started to slowly creep their way back into the game. Lavell Brock took a kickoff return to the house and David Favata scored his 2nd touchdown of the night to make it 28-20 with 3:03 left in the game. Defense came up huge for Pittston Area as Christian Cerasaro broke up a pass on 3rd down and the Patriots stopped Wyoming Area just short of a 1st down as time expired. The varsity Pittston Area and Wyoming Area game is this Friday night at 7pm at Charley Trippi Stadium
