Saturday Game of the Week
Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights (2-4) at Kiski School Cougars (4-3)
Last Meeting 9/16/23 Kiski 14 @ Wyoming Seminary 40
WS PF 12.8 PA 25.0
KS. PF 21.9 PA 23.1
Common Opposition Both beat Blair Academy, Both loss to William Penn
Both teams came into the game on two game winning streaks. The weather always seems to be a factor at Kiski. Rain, lightning, heat and today it was wind. The wind made it almost impossible to pass or kick when driving towards the scoreboard. The Cougars led the defensive struggle 7-0 at half courtesy of an Ahmad Ragland touchdown run.

The second half started with the Blue Knights having the ball and driving into the wind. The Blue Knights drove 80 yards on their opening drive of the half. Alex Roman capped the drive with a rushing touchdown to tie it at 7-7 with 9:08 to go in the third. Both teams struggled to move the ball the rest of the quarter. The Blue Knights faced fourth down on the first play of the fourth quarter but were punting with the wind. Emmanuel Safikhany blocked the punt giving the Cougars great field position. The drive stalled inside the red zone due to a penalty and Leo Brueggemann’s 30 yard field goal into a gale force wind gave the Cougars the led with 8:47 to play. The Cougars defense would have to win the game now.
The Blue Knight would go on a long drive but were stopped on fourth down around the Kiski 29. But the Wyoming defense forced a punt, again thanks to a Cougar penalty. The Blue Knights once again drove down the field. This time an Adrian Valdez interception stopped the drive at the two minute mark. He returned it for a touchdown but another Cougar penalty erased the score. On the next play with 1:35 to go in the game Levi Porter raced 65 yards for a touchdown. This time there were no flags.
