Lancaster-Lebanon League Hosts Media Day

The 37 Teams Representing The Lancaster-Lebanon League Attended Media Day Friday.

Lancaster- The LNP Media Group hosted all 37 teams of Lancaster-Lebanon Football League teams on Friday along with at least dozen media outlets from around the area. The day began at 10am with section 5 and concluded with section 1 in the early evening.

Coaches and players were treated to plenty of food and games during the day. Sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks were on the menu. Pinball, Cornhole, shadow boxing as well as some video games were a popular choice. The most competitive event was a nearly a half-hour Jenga battle between Fleetwood and Daniel Boone, eventually one by Fleetwood.

Two of the rivalry games will go by the wayside after this season. The Wyomissing vesus Pottsville games will be discontinued with their game in week 2. Wyo will face state powerhouse and thirteen time state champions Southern Columbia.The meetings between Pequa Valley and Octorara also known as the “Brave Bowl” will also come to an end after this season as they meet on September 2nd.

Quarterback Hayden Johnson, of Manheim Township has made a verbal commitment to play at Lehigh University in Bethlehem. Johnson, who is nearing the 5,000 yard mark for his career looks to to lead the Blue Steaks to a state playoff after losing to Harrisburg last season.
