LaSalle TE John-Patrick Oates flips to James Madison

John-Patrick Oates a 6-3 225lb TE for the #1 ranked team in the state LaSalle College has flipped his commitment from hometown program Temple University to James Madison University. Originally JP committed to Temple back in June 15th but after a recent weekend visit he decided to flip his commitment to JMU which plays in the Sun Belf Conference. Other schools that offered JP were Georgetown, Eastern Michigan, Howard, Morgan State, Albany, Richmond, Towson and Stony Brook.
Before heading to JMU JP is currently preparing for the Catholic League championship game against rival St. Joes Prep this upcoming Saturday afternoon. A win would continue his senior season and give him a chance to conclude his career with a state title.
