Northampton won the toss, deferred and kicked off to Liberty who started on their own 23yard line, but on 1st down Gabe Green fumbled and Noah Kline recovered and gave the Konkrete Kids great field position on Liberty’s 30 yard line. Zander Rickert’s 3 carries for 13 yards got Northampton to the 17 yard line and a 1st down. Then it was Chase Kessler’s turn he ran 6 and 5 yards for another 1st down at the 6 yard line where Zander Rickert ran it in for the 1st score of the game, but the Kids Jackson Sandt missed the point after, Northampton led 6-0 at 8:47 in the 1st quarter.

On 1st and 10 Gabe Green ran for 7 yards to the 33yard line and on the next play Antonio Fontanez threw a pass to Zyaire Davis who made a beautiful onehanded catch and took it 67 yards to the house, Christian Hackett kicked the point after, Liberty led 14-6 with 1:36 in the 1st

Hackett’s kick again lands out of bounds again, Northampton started on their own 35yard line. Then on 1st and 10 Gavin Taff threw to Cameron Hersch for a 8yard completion to the 43yard line. Liberty has done most of their damage tonight through the air, but started this drive with Gabe Green who ran for 7 then 9yards to move the ball from the 38 to the 22. Then on 2nd and 10 Fontanez ran for 11, lost 4yards on the next play. But then at 9:45 in the 4th from the 15 Fontanez connects with Deleon for a touchdown. And after Hackett’s point after the Hurricanes closed the gap to 34-28

Northampton returned the kick to the 38, an incomplete pass on 1st, a 1yard run on 2nd and a 9yard loss on 3rd down led to a 4th and 18 and forced the Konkrete Kids to punt. Liberty started on their own 30, then on 2nd and 7 from the 33 Zyaire Davis caught Antonio’s pass 46yards to the Northampton 21. On 3rd and 5 from the 16 Deleon ran it in for the score, add the Hackett point after the score was tied at 34-34 with 6:13 in the 4th.

So with 6:13 left in the 4th this was still anybody’s game and Northampton was the first to have a chance to put this game away. and after a nice return to the 32 Northampton went to Chase Kessler who scored 3 times and he got a 1st down at the 42. Gabe Green ran for 10yards on 1st and 10 from their own 31. Later in the drive on 3rd and 3 from the 48 Fontanez passed to Deleon to their own 48. Deleon got 8 yards on the ground this time and got the Hurricanes to the 16. Then it was Gabe Green for 3yards but after a false start, liberty was backed up to 18 where Green ran for 17 to the 1, where on the next play he ran for 1yard and the score with 13.4 seconds left Liberty led 41-34. Which after multiple laterals by Northampton on the return as time ran out ended up being the final score.
