Neumann Goretti TE/DE Carter Bashier picks Syracuse

Carter Bashir a 6-4 240lb TE/DT at Neumann Gorreti has shut his recruitment down and given his pledge to ACC program Syracuse University. As a junior at NG Carter led the team in receptions (25) and receiving yards (351) while also being a force defensively recording 44 tackles, 5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. In 2023 as a sophomore Carter recorded 19 receptions, 234 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.
Other programs who pursued Carter and offered scholarships were Temple, Miami, Duke, Boston College, Indiana, Delaware, Charlotte, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. Carter and NG look to reclaim the CL Blue title after being defeated by Conwell Egan in the 3A Championship game last season.
