Heritage Conference Game of the Week

River Valley Panthers (7-1) @ Northern Cambria Colts (7-1)

Ty Dumm is a special young man. He showed it again tonight. Two more touchdowns, two more interceptions, slew of tackles, mountain of yards and his overall leadership. I asked to get his picture wants his teammates in it. He returned a blocked field goal for six against United Valley and a freshman blocked someone in the back after Ty scored. I talked to the young man and he said Ty told him not to worry about it. Most teenagers would have been furious. I can’t say enough about Ty. But I don’t want you to think he is the only Colt on the field. Gage Shonsky a wrecking ball of a runner breaks his leg. He showed me the x-rays. Nate Fry steps in like he’s been playing there all year. Caleb Dolney is a stud. He catches everything and his  blocked punt was a thing of beauty. Their linemen are not giants but they are strong and fast. Zak Kirsch is always around the ball. I think there are 33 Shutty’s on the team at times but the roster shows only two. Ben Messina, Daniel Farrell, Trey Pershing, Malik Fox and the rest of the cast are a must see. Colts fans you need to fill those stands for the playoffs. You have a special team and they need your support. The coaching staff is awesome too. They are willing to take risk and never let up once they got the Panthers down. Congratulations Coach Shutty and your entire staff. It wasn’t River Valleys night tonight, but they will bounce back. They are loaded with talent (Yantis, Burkhart, Rummel, Perschetti, Ewing and on and on). The Colts travel to Portage to wrap up the season. The Panthers visit winless West Shamokin. Both teams will be in the D6 Playoffs.
