WILSON BORO- Saturday afternoon with temperatures near 90 degrees and clear blue skies Pen Argyl Green Knights met Wilson Area Warriors for the 100th consecutive time and the Green Knights came up with a valliant effort from Brad Rissmiller, Damian Tyminski and Gian Grggo for a 22-12 victory, the teams first since the end of October in 2020 covering 10 games.
The defense was key as well as they did not allow a Wilson first down until the second quarter and only muster a mere 10 yards in the first half.
Gian Greggo opened the scoring for the visitors with a 9 yard scamper along the left end for a 8-0 lead with Kris Kessler to Tyminski conversion pass with 8:16 left in the half after a scoreless first twelve minutes.

Rissmiller led his team deep into Wilson territory just before half but an ill-fated pass into the flat was picked off by Wilson’s Anderson Louis Juene and he returned it 91 yards for a Warrior score, their attempt to tie the game failed and left the score at 8-6 at intermission.

On the ensuing kickoff Juene rturned the ball 77 yards to the house again the try for two points was no good making the score 22-12 with still 9:01 left in the contest. Neither team would threaten again and that is how game ended.
After the game these were the thoughts from Pen Argyl’s quarterback Brad Rissmiller said after the game.
