The 2025 high school season is nearly here and in the District 6 has plenty of returning arms to watch out for. Here are the top returning quarterbacks in District 6.
Mason Campagna – Claysburg Kimmel – 2026
Campagna headlines a big returning class for the Bulldogs this season. The Penn State baseball commit is known for his legs and will be relied upon rushing more this year after losing standout running back Mark Lattieri. His passing game should improve too as they return their top three receivers from last season. Campagna looks to lead this experienced team to a deeper run this season in the playoffs. He got two games of playoff experience in 2024, knocking off Glendale and losing to the eventual 1A state champions Bishop Guilfoyle.
2024 Stats
- Passing : 1,513 Yards, 7 Touchdowns, 48% Completion Rate, 11 Interceptions
- Rushing : 1,256 Yards, 22 Touchdowns, 6.2 Per Carry
Brady Jones – Penn Cambria – 2026
Jones is one of lone returners from a very successful Penn Cambria team that made it to the state semi finals. The Panthers lost their top three rushers and top four receivers, putting Jones in a tough situation. Nonetheless, Jones is a very talented dual threat that runs really well and limits turnovers. Penn Cambria should be in the hunt for another district title in 3A this season and they will need Jones to do what he did last season to get them there.
2024 stats
- Passing : 1,637 Yards, 14 Touchdowns, 65% Completion Rate, 2 Interceptions
- Rushing : 663 Yards, 8 Touchdowns, 4.7 Per Carry
Grayson Mahla – Richland – 2027
Mahla was the leading passer for the Rams last season, but suffered a season ending injury in week 8. Now that he is healthy, he should be a force for the Richland offense that returns wide outs Arnold Mugerwa and Jamere Christian, along with standout running back Joe McAneny. Mahla is a two year letterman heading into his junior season, so his experience will be very valuable in leading this Richland team.
2024 stats
- Passing : 1,138 Yards, 14 Touchdowns, 51% Completion Rate, 6 Interceptions
- Rushing : 407 Yards, 6 Touchdowns, 4.8 Per Carry
Jacob Regan – Richland – 2028
Regan replaced Mahla late in the season and gave the Rams more stability at quarterback. Richland has an interesting battle at quarterback this camp between the two as Mahla was the starter, yet Regan led this team to two playoff victories against United Valley and Marion Center, but ended up losing to Cambria Heights in the championship. Richland has a very good problem to have in the quarterback room and it will be interesting to see how Head Coach Brandon Bailey uses these two talented weapons.
2024 stats
- Passing : 1,116 Yards, 13 Touchdowns, 64% Completion Rate, 5 Interceptions
- Rushing : 161 Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 4.4 Per Carry
Angelo Gallucci – Bishop McCort-Carroll – 2026
Gallucci is the leading passer in this Crusher quarterback room. Similarly to Richland, McCort-Carroll has a deep room after injuries gave multiple players playing time. Gallucci played very well down the stretch for Bishop McCort, keeping them in games with top teams such as Penn Cambria, Bellwood-Antis, and Cambria Heights. His legs did most of the damage last season, yet his arm is still a very solid trait he brings to the table.
2024 stats
- Passing : 907 Yards, 6 Touchdowns, 39% Completion Rate, 8 Interceptions
- Rushing : 531 Yards,9 Touchdowns, 4.8 Per Carry
Logan Skebeck – Glendale – 2026
Skebeck returns for the Vikings who look to build a solid turnaround season in 2024. Although Glendale lost a few standout pieces, Skebeck will be able to build off his solid season at quarterback with leading receiver Cameron Dreilbelbis. The dual threat will be relied upon heavily in getting Glendale back to the playoffs in 2025.
2024 stats
- Passing : 1,152 Yards, 9 Touchdowns, 52% Completion Rate, 9 Interceptions
- Rushing : 235 Yards, 4 Touchdowns, 3.5 Per Carry
Connor Danko – West Branch – 2027
Danko looks to turn things around for the Warriors in 2025, leading things behind center. Although they went winless in 2024, Danko is a key returner and can help West Branch do better. More of a pocket passer, he will be able to work with fellow junior Francis Leskovansky in a solid passing game. They also return their leading rusher Coby Kephart to help open things up.
2024 stats
- Passing : 1,270 Yards, 10 Touchdowns, 42% Completion Rate, 9 Interceptions
- Rushing : 80 Yards, 1 Touchdown
Archer Baughman – Philipsburg-Osceola – 2027
Baughman is a key returner to this Mountaineer offense looking to turn things around in 2025. Philipsburg-Osceola did lose their top skilled guy Sam McDonald, yet Baughman should be able to make plays happen with the returning rushers he does have in this running offense. He was able to pass a solid amount in 2024, so that should be able to carry over this season.
2024 stats
- Passing : 902 Yards, 7 Touchdowns, 55% Completion Rate, 6 Interceptions
- Rushing : 83 Yards, 3 Touchdowns
Brady Mihalko – Moshannon Valley – 2028
Mihalko and Moshannon Valley are looking like a sleeper team in the Inter County Conference this season. They bring back a strong core after a solid season in 2024. Mihalko will have solid skilled guys in Rocco Reifer and Chase Mital around him to help him open up scoring opportunities. His experience should open up the pass game more, giving the Black Knights a shot in 1A.
2024 stats
- Passing : 829 Yards, 8 Touchdowns, 42% Completion Rate, 5 Interceptions
Easton Slanoc – Portage – 2026
Slanoc is one of the top athletes in the area, but was held back in 2024 with a hand injury. Portage lost some key contributors on offense and Slanoc should be able to push them towards more success in 2025. The Mustangs will rely on the trio of Slanoc, senior wideout Gavin Bobolsky, and junior running back Noah Willinsky in their offense.
2024 stats
- Passing : 606 Yards, 7 Touchdowns, 51% Completion Rate, 4 Interceptions
