Duquesne finished off their regular season, closing out Robert Morris with a 20-17 on a short trip to Moon Township Saturday afternoon. Matt Clark put the ball right through the middle of the uprights for a walk-off 33 yard field goal as the clock hit zeros. The Dukes used a combination of explosiveness and steady execution, highlighted by Dukes QB Tyler Riddell surpassing 10,000 yards passing for his career in the win on Saturday.
Riddell connected early to WR Joey Isabella for a 71-yard touchdown to open the scoring before Robert Morris went on a little 10-0 run to close out the first half. RMU QB Cooper Panteck found Chaz Middleton to make it 7-7 before K Jayson Jenkins tacked on three points at the end of the first half. Riddell would find another touchdown, this time from four yards out to TE Garrett Harrold. RMU opened the fourth quarter with a 63 yard punt return from Kai Holloway to reclaim the lead. The rest of the game belonged to Matt Clark, hitting from 34, and a walk-off from 33 to close out a thrilling game from start to finish.
